MINING: SERABI (LON:SRB) DIRECTORATE CHANGE: AQUILES ALEGRIA JOINS THE BOARD Mr Aquiles Alegria has joined the board as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Alegria is a geologist with over twenty years’ experience in the mining industry and has acted as exploration manager for a number of mining companies, and was most recently Deputy Manager at Antofagasta Minerals. NORTHLAND UK VIEW: Serabi Gold has strengthened the board with the appointment of Mr Aquiles Alegria, a very experienced geologist, as a Non-Executive Director. The operations at Palito have now finished the ramp up phase and the current quarter (Q314) is expected to be the first at full commercial production. The second ball mall should now be operational and production is expected to be significantly higher in H214 than H114. The installation of the Carbon in Pulp (CIP) plant should now be underway and first gold production from CIP is expected in September, increasing recoveries from 75% to 91%-92%. With a growing production profile, we continue to believe Serabi’s valuation looks undemanding.
from Focus Graphite.com's webpage: Feeding the demand in future will be technology grade graphite needed for the burgeoning green technology economy. The lithium battery industry alone is projected to grow between 30 per cent and 40 per cent, with 20 per cent annual growth in the electric vehicle market (as much as 30 kilograms of graphite can be found in some electric cars). With demand for large flake graphite growing, it is projected that 25 new 40,000 tonnes per year graphite mines will be needed worldwide by 2020.
