Re.Interesting (link): Given the supply/demand situation, does anyone know what advantages AMI holds over other IO producers? E.g. is it lower cost, or better quality product, or something else? Because reading this article it would seem that some of the IO producers are going to fall out of the race, so if AMI are to survive, it must have some advantages over the others.
Presumably it can't be disastrous news, or surely they would have halted trading in the shares?
Wavydavy: In 2009 they sold the large (very successful) part of their business to the Indian company Vedanta, and handed cash back to the investors.
Almost 20 million shares transacted today. It's normally about 3 or 4 million. Seems this company has been put on the map today, which is probably no bad thing!
Should the directors not have come out with some statement by now, such as "we are not aware of any reason..." etc.?
