Zumore....THINK! If AB had ANY real news to tell you, do you think he would be shy in so doing? Go back to 2010...look at the Kansai /IPCM debacle look how much paid press coverage was secured for that mythic deal? Then go and read all the RNSs around it....not with the dewy eyed innocence of investors who bought tickets for a tide AB was happy to take them on, but with the critical eyes of a lawyer to see what is and isn't being said. Greenland and Colombia and now Ivory Coast.....all part of the same "big picture today, jam tomorrow and please don't look at the details" shareholder management philosophy at work. Some investors, frankly, have gold fever. You only have to whisper the words "high gold grades"...and they are running with their erections in their hands.....they never ask for data, times, proofs of any sort....and when challenged they just shout back "didn't you hear? High gold grades!" Madness. Investors dream the life, ab lives the dream. Welcome to the game, thank you for playing.
The questions of time frames goes beyond zema. What happens post zema approval? How long to production? What hurdles must be overcome?
Sound of silence...as I have never given you my personal details, and even if I had it would be the height of bad form to publish them, why do you take it on yourself to associate me with any particular name.....I have no need to identify myself one way or another...I am, as I noted last week, scotchoverice
Dufc..yes I have been building for some time. Here is the source of my frustration. There is always market sensitive information companies can't release or wish to keep hidden for commercially sensitive reasons. However, this does not apply to on the record matters. Everyone is speculating about Zema approval and we believed it was imminent. So why not share the exact process with shareholders? The people at Zema were happy to discuss the specifics and dates....why had MA not been so forthcoming? Either he doesn't get it, or he was being deliberately vague for his own reasons. So my bullishness has suffered a reality check. It is not as if I hadn't mailed and spoken with MA before I called Zema....indeed, I posted up my prior correspondence from MA....it did not specify any Zema timetable. So now I have a new observation and question: as positive as the 2012 share purchases by the Directors were in 2012 at around 2.8p...why, with the price languishing around 2p, are we not seeing more confidence supporting share purchases.
Well done semaj..you are spot on. I was not doubting the call with ZEMA. I was expressing incredulity that nobody else bothered yo pick up the phone and check the data at source. Now...Dufc...I have been stake building over the last 3 years. Tell me, how many shares have you got here?
Raz...I am not expecting...but I have written again to MA and raised concerns..I want to see what, if anything, he says
Dufc..I did not post my opinions. I take great offence at that. I called zema..was surprised to get through..but got directly to the EIS team. I asked about the status of the EPL EIS and got very specific answers. I clarified the detail with the officer twice. I posted to inform everyone..no agenda other than 10.7m shares. I had spoken to MA earlier in the week..on phone and I via email. He had not been forthcoming on these specifics. Why?
