Better to promise tax cuts and extra spending funded from the magic money tree.... the electorate always fall for it.
I think Paddy Ashdown was one of the more decent politicians of recent(ish) times. But nobody liked his policy of higher taxation for increased spending.
Agree Pro, Cameron, Clegg and Milliband.... all cut from the same cloth. Posh boys from posh schools who have been groomed to be career politicians. No grit or substance to any of them.
well i was thinking of just spoiling the paper as a protest vote.... booked a last minute holiday instead so won't be able to vote even if i really wanted to
I liked this letter to the telegraph "SIR – How is it that suddenly we can have an increased minimum wage, a reduction in taxes, more money spent on the NHS, better pensions, more money spent on schools, and a reduction of the deficit? Perhaps we should have an election every year."
local labour supporters here tend to vote libdem to stop the tories from winning back the seat as they know labour have no chance here.
