Heavy position in advance of expected pop from Dona Ines drill results promised by end of May, but will likely stay long most of the position if the move is dramatic.
MARL....ways to win continued: ...buy out; Hot Maden project moves ahead.
MARL..long...several ways to win: Assets and reserves get big time revision from Dona Ines; underlying gold prices rise;
...sorry chopped up: "I believe the Chilean drill results on Dona Ines will make significant contribution to MARL 2P reserves which are not in anybody's pro forma asset values."
ignificant contribution to 2P reserves, which are not in ANYBODY's pro forma calculations on asset values.
Hi Franconia, by no means do I disregard your calculations or due diligence. My own approach to reserve value on Mariana yield somewhat different reserve values but no matter. My main point on MARL as a speculation is that I believe the Chilean drill results on Dona Ines
RE: MARL...I am not a geologist but have reviewed the drill plans and assays on holes HTD 51,52, and 53. My conclusion is that there will a significant revision to the proven and probables held by Mariana in the Hot Maden project. We will not know until June but a 50% increase is likely. Hole 52 proves the extension of the main deposit, and Mariana is drilling an additional hole right know to see if the zone can be extended further downhole. The results will be included in the June revision. Holes 51 and 53 are shaping up to form another zone to the south of the main deposit. They are looking for something big there but haven't found it yet. But the big news that could come this week is from Dona Ines. I am pretty sure the drill results will be awfully good.
RE: MARL...hi all. new reader from the USA, long MARL. It is not followed here but I have read quite a bit on it and want to inform if you do not know about it already, that an up-and-coming royalty/streamer Sandstorm Gold has taken a 7.56 position in MARL as of last month, after concluding a 2.0 NSR deal with MARL. I am long Sandstorm Gold also. I take this to be very positive since it is a very aggressive move by Sandstorm, whose business is based on geological and financial due diligence on companies like MARL. The assumption of an equity position is quite unusual. My suspicion is that in the next few days we will see the drill results from Mariana's 100% owned Dona Ines project in Chile; that there will be a dramatic increase in MARL's proven and probables in June on account of this week's drill results; and further we will be a nice deal on royalties and streams in favor of Sandstorm, who is now MARL's largest shareh Best to everyone.
