I like the sound of this bit of the RNS: SGRF, a sovereign wealth fund of the Sultanate of Oman, has approved in principle an investment of US$100 million in the firm placing via one of its subsidiaries, subject to and conditional upon, inter alia, agreement of a subscription agreement, agreement of arrangements with the Group's project lenders on the Group's capital structure, procurement of commitments from other shareholders in respect of an additional minimum US$75 million capital, necessary Kenmare shareholder approvals, and finalisation of a prospectus.
At least we have a 100% agreement among stockbrokers when it comes to a buy rating! [link]
I think that is the euro price as far as I know
San Leon have a stake in Barryroe, so maybe a little bit of good news for us.
No sign of the eight million shares showing up so far. Perhaps they were brought and sold at the same time? Some good news for the Porcupine Area. [link]
Must be around 6% of the shares in issue. Trade unknown, but must be a buy; hopefully. [link]
Of course it is very hard to come to terms with our disastrous investment decision, but it is something that we will have to live with, but one cannot blame people for holding onto hope, and that is why many of us followed the share price down to this low level. Now that we are here we must accept that we are, were we are, as they say, but I do not think that you can blame people for trying to find the brighter side of the story, sometime to keep us going before the ship sinks into the Irish sea, or maybe, just maybe we can hold on long enough for things to turn around. We will just have to wait and see. If we lose everything, well guess what, that is life. Could be worse. Things can always be worse. I suppose what may upset people is that standing on the sideline and telling everyone on the pitch that they are playing the game wrong is a bit, well it is a bit, Irish. Here's hoping for the best. .
I suppose Providence is the major licence holder for the Irish offshore, and I am sure that one day these fields will be drilled and going on the tests that have being carried out, there is a good chance that oil will be found. The question is will Providence be on the ones still in charge and how much oil will be found. The North Sea is coming towards the end of its life in one way, and I am sure that it has struck everyone that maybe the next big find is only four or five hundred miles south of Scotland. Perhaps the new investors have added new hope in that they have invested some monies here, but sure maybe they can write off the whole lot against tax if things do not work out. Pageant Holding complained in the beginning that the board were not investing more of their own money in buying shares, but after a month or so, they said that they were happy with the board. Once again it is hard to know. We will have to wait and see what happens, but either way the next six months will tell the story to a great extent. Anyway the whole story rests on getting a farmout, and that is really the only news that is going to move this share.
Well at least the volume was high enough and most shares showing as buys, but then you would not know for sure.[link]
