Seplat board is like a ghost town, no posts and such little volume trading! Can anyone shed light on why this should be?

With news due today on a deal or no deal with Afren, this board is spookily quiet. It's like the Marie Celeste, so little volume, what's happening?

No trading on Seplat?

Sorry Odard but when a share is getting heavily traded you have to put up with the ignorant. Have a look at IRG, it's a certain cure for insomnia.

Re. Do your research. Having read the link you posted Stag1974, do you think the Chinese might be interested in becoming involved with Sable? After all they are all over Africa like a rash.

Traders will only pile in when news is imminent imo. Why tie money up for 30/40 days on the off chance there is that illusive surprise RNS. Besides they are all getting giddy on AFR, when that's sorted they can get back to making up stories about CRND

Seen the video; liked the bit where it states that the Mt Nimba resource is one of the most accessible resources; this bodes well for a cost effective path to production. I wonder though if Mittal will really want a competitor on their doorstep, who have a better product? If I was the deep pocketed Mr Mittal, I would be seriously looking to have Mt Nimba all to myself.

I am not as well researched as many and sometimes struggle to understand the terminology but here is what I do know. 1. The company is sitting on a considerable resource; depressed iron ore prices at the moment but that's just a world economy thing. 2. The resource is high grade and therefore will be sought after. 3. The company now have access to get their goods to market; no good having a resource you can't get to a port I matter how valuable it is. 4. Mittal has an interest in the company even if it is not direct. 5. Directors want to make more than 11p per share. 5. Big shareholders want big eventual rewards. A share I'm sitting on but would still be more comfortable with it at 3p
