Easy to be negative, but in the real world, Dow's factory weeks away from production and Qdots starting to appear across multiple industries. 71 tonnes needed in 4 years. Global production less than a tonne at the moment. Seems a reasonable bet to me. The financial mets only care about cash generation and its sustainability. Also got 7% short position to close. Hope there's enough to buy at this level ...
The big institutional investors are neither selling nor buying. Sometime in the next month or so there will be an announcement ' Dow factory in commercial production for multiple clients' That's the bet...
Nothing wrong with paying your CEO a good salary. And believe me the TV world is changing and changing fast. QD's a revolution in display not seen for a decade or more. I see 4k QD laptops getting great reviews for display [link] The problem of course is that it contains cadmium which will be banned in Europe and China before the next version of the laptop can be released. Wonder what they'll do?
QTMM don't own their own IP. Very dangerous investment imo. But each to their own....
It's also important to note, why QD vision and Nanosys don't really to be fair to them claim massive leaps in their technology to encompass cadmium free QD's. They are much more advanced than QMC scientifically imo. But it does their management credit and makes them almost investable if they were listed. Trouble is their QD's will be restricted in Europe and China by the end of the year imo.
But QMC doesn't have any clients. How you can put an investor case at this stage is beyond me. At least Nano has Dow, LG and Marl confirmed. If they didn't I wouldn't be interested either. QMC over-state their case. Nano unfortunately in a way under-state their case.
I note Michael Walters has posted an update on his site with reference to the recent broker note.[link] He mentions the imminent Chinese RoHS regulation and the effect this will have on TLC and Hisense. By the way, Dow do not get it wrong so I remain positive. The whole market is moving to Qdots not OLED. Severe restrictions in China and Europe coming within 6 months is my bet.
QTMM, that's a joint development agreement. Nothing to do with purchase, supply etc. Means bugger all and could go on for years. Also no mention of cadmium free, which seems odd.
