If JLP can build the business around processing tailings from here with little debt, they could be in a cracking position in a few years time. The big platinum players are all cutting back on production big time at the moment - this could lead to a perfect storm in a few years time when demand rises and stocks haven't been replenished. If hydrogen fuel cells become the preferred choice for the motor industry, they require 5-10 times more platinum than a regular diesel cat I here. Fingers crossed all comes good.
Morning JaJa, i'm sure you're right. If I had more funds available I'd be adding a few more here myself. Anyone buying into 88E at 2.5 yesterday wlll be feeling twitchy today. I'm avoiding chasing those rapid risers, I did it a few years back with CPP and got my fingers badly burnt. Slowly slowly is my strategy now, JLP can take anything from 1 to 5 years from here and I'm OK with that. All the best idg69
Come on JLP get back over 3p where you belong.
Come on JLP, what do you have to do to get a rise out of this share? I said I was a patient long term player on this one but I wish it would climb out of this range. It is tedious watching it bumble along at this level. I don't think JLP is on anyone's radar at them moment. t
Can't believe LMI closed up 20% on the day. You would have had to be a brave boy to put your shirt on Lonmin at 35p back in mid January. Understanding the markets at the moment is impossible - logic doesn't seam to play a part anymore. I keep repeating myself but I'd love to see JLP at least double if not triple this year - 6 - 9p isn't out of the question once the cash starts coming in from the 1st 2 tailings projects - is it?
I can't understand the Lonmin rise at all. I suspect it's being pumped a little to allow some investors to sell out on the rise. I just don't see a bright future with LMI but what do I know, only the markets will decide. JLP could really do with a few institutional investors taking an interest to really get some interest in this stock. I understand the bulk of holders are lowish volume private investors. People take notice of a stock when the big players start to buy in. Come on JLP work your magic, it's long overdue.
Hi Breezy, I was just typing away when your message popped up - Good to hear from you my friend. Not much chit chat on this board at the moment. Not much to chit chat about really. All the groundwork is going on in the background with JLP at the moment with little to report. I'm still content it's keeping it's head above the 3p mark. I get the impression no one wants to sell up on the fear they could be off the dance floor when the music starts to play. I do regret my last top up though at 3.9p. I wish I'd just held off a while longer and bought closer to 3p, never mind. I don't think we'll get a finance RNS any time soon. I suspect they will try and hold off putting any debt on the books if they can finance some of the 2nd tailings project from income from the 1st. Would make good business sense to do that if possible. All the very best idg69
Jonmor does come across rather cynical and negative. If he's a long term holder with a big exposure to JLP then I can understand why. Lots of false starts in the past and promises of jam tomorrow. If you're sat on big losses things do look very different from that side of the fence. Or he could just have anger issues - who knows? I'm not going to loose any sleep over it. Have a good weekend. idg69
Excav8 - Are you making a statement or asking a question? I would think the BoD know exactly what is happening on the plant. The last webcast confirmed that all is on track with both processing plants. I understand the chrome recovery element of the first plant is coming on stream in the next few weeks. I don't know the far end of all the technical aspects but I believe everything the BoD said was happening is taking place. I'd like this share to head north on a steady path (as we all would) so I'm not too concerned with daily fluctuations, though I do get a little twitchy when it nears 3p. It seams to always bounce of it though. Happy times ahead I hope. All the best idg69
Meant to say - make of it what you will and do your own research.
