Sentiment is low on this stock at the moment despite plenty of positive news flow and a very big director buy. PI's getting frustrated with lots of silly bickering across the boards - this is not helping anyone. I'm pleased for SXX holders (Breezy particularly) but can't believe they have a market cap of 1.4 billion, haven't sunk a mine shaft yet and will be 4-5 years from production & revenue. JLP have done an exceptional amount of groundwork over the last 12-18 months for a small cap company, revenue is coming in, debts are being paid down and we are back to flat lining around the 4p mark. There is little logic and sentiment towards JLP should really be more positive. Let's see some solid financials from the BoD and then let's see what the markets think of JLP. Pay day today so I think another small top up is in order. Good luck all, idg69

Hi Jaja, I think you're right. Leon won't have that sort of cash to splash around like Colin. Leon should have more shares than he has though, particularly as he has sacrificed salary. I wonder if Leons shares are attributed to JBL on the South African stock market as opposed to JLP on the UK AIM market? I hadn't considered that before.

£48k's worth too. That's a big buy from Colin. You don't spend that sort of money if the future doesn't look rosy and he should know the inside picture better than anyone. Leon should follow suit now and put his hand in his pocket, though I suspect he will have options in lieu of salary. I keep saying it, but it would be nice to see a big institutional investor start building a holding here, that would really male the markets sit up and take notice. Come on JLP put out some solid financials now to demonstrate real progress and not just tonnage throughput, that doesn't mean anything - profit is what we need to see.

Hi Breezy, bailing out at 7p would have been a smart move for both of us, but what if it had sailed on to 15p and beyond like SOLG did, we'd be kicking ourselves having sat here for 2 years. Frustration doesn't begin to describe how I feel about JLP. Other companies have gone through the roof on mining licenses being issued, JLP has failed miserably to excite the markets. I'm not a get rich quick merchant but would like to see some return on my investment in the next 12-18 months. All the best, idg69

Morning all - still looking in from time to time but nothing much to say at the moment. Google finance and my Halifax i-web trading account are showing no activity on JLP since 16th June which I can't quite believe. Have refreshed my browser but nothing changes! Breezy you must be happy with SXX at the moment. I should have held on to my 14p holding of SXX but needed the cash and sold them too early. I wish JLP would post some solid financials and maybe then the market would take notice. In the meantime we just have to watch a slow decline or either bale out with a small profit.

You are correct trautw, nothing has changed, it's private investors losing patience and moving on. I could have made more money on any number of stocks in the last 6 months than I have with JLP over the last 2 years. I'm not sure about buying more as I'd rather diversify my portfolio than piling too much in to one stock. I wish you well and don't think we'll be disappointed in another 2 years time. JLP will have it's day, I just don't know when.

Morning all, disappointing to see the slow decline erode recent gains. Confidence in South Africa as a whole is quite low at the moment. Could be a while now before another RNS comes our way. Let's hope the next one provides some hard financial data showing the true position of where JLP have come financially. All the best idg69

Evening Breezy, LMI are dropping like a stone and I'm glad I'm not in it. They wiped out private investors BHR style with the last placing and then did a share split. They then went from 40p to £2.40 and have since fallen back. If we think the dilution at JLP has been bad just look at what LMI have done to their investors not once but many times. I think we can count ourselves lucky to be in at these levels with the future JLP have ahead of them. I can't help looking at that SOLG 12 month graph though - 3p to 46p in pretty much a straight line and still climbing, why wasn't that on my watch list. To think JLP could do that would be life changing - oh the thought of it. We can always dream can't we. Enjoy the sunshine my friend and wishing you well. idg69

Hi Breezy, hope you had a good bank holiday weekend. The news is pretty positive from the webcast but I'm not sure they're a good idea - they certainly don't help the share price, they are restricted to what they can say because of market sensitive information and raise just as many questions as they answer. They should spend their time on producing timely, professional and accurate RNS's backed up with some financials from time to time. The markets like numbers and positive ones, not Colin Bird sat on his sofa looking frustrated. Can't see a long term future for Lonmin either, they are burning through cash with no profitability in sight. This would certainly cause ripples in the platinum market. Keeping the faith and staying patient at this end. All the best my friend. idg69

What this team can do on the ground from an operational perspective is impressive but they lack the professionalism of a mid cap publicly quoted company. Not so much Leon, he's just uncomfortable in front of a camera. CB sits there with his arms folded in what looks like his own lounge and comes across terribly frustrated as if the share price is not his fault, which I accept isn't all down to him as the junior miners have been decimated over recent years. An institutional investor looking at this webcast isn't going to put his hands in his pockets any time soon. They need to sharpen up their front of house presentations to the markets and be more professional. If they want to be a mid cap company start presenting and acting like one. That said there was some positive stuff in there. Shareholders shouldn't expect any financials in these webcasts, it's never going to happen and they should accept they can only talk about operational stuff and even then not market sensitive stuff. idg69 still holding - over and out!
