Wartsila an Man seem to be working together.
RE-STEAM. ref. previous post astra van, started using coolant water, noticed the fuel warning light was not coming on until I had done around (530-550 miles).thought it was faulty gauge or warning light so filled up at the 500 mile mark but only used 42-46 lts,in the end the head gasket went completely at 156 000 miles. MY FATHER SAYS the head gasket was probably leaking water into the cylinders for a couple of months, resulting in water turning to steam ,during combustion cycle increasing expansion of gases thus increasing efficiency.
RE-STEAM.( my father says) bit of a story but bear with me. I have an astra van 1.7 turbo diesel, which I have had for ten years,22000 miles on the clock when I got it, I would fill it up when the fuel warning light came on ,I have done this for the last 10 years, I would put around 46-48 lts in which would give me around 500 miles,it was like this for the last ten years.(great wee van).
at agm... I remember someone mention a surprise benefit of using MSAR2,i think they were referring to emissions can any body clarify this, shine a bit of light.
