Thanks - I was not aware of that. Is there any restriction on price and who they can sell them to?
Mamms, what are the treasury shares you refer to?
While expected, this is the best and most significant news we have had in a long time and it had zero positive impact on SP. While little surprises me about PVR anymore, this does!
Spuddy - what is the reference to Schlumberger?
JR - I believe they could, and I have suggested on a number of occasions that this will not be lost on Shell. To take your example to the next level, Shell could pay €125m and basically get PVR for free. This would equate to 3 times current SP value, and while I know it would leave most people on this board seriously out of pocket (me included), it would not be unattractive to our most recent investors who now control these decisions.
The fact that SP has held up is positive - there might be more to this rally than today's event.
Nice to see rise in SP underpinned by some volume. Keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow - I for one could do with this not being a false dawn!
Reluctantly I have to side with Jimmy here and say that the MM are moving this share price. It is impossible to believe that our management, after all the criticism they have received, could be sitting on information AGAIN that could impact the SP.
This has to be more than the tax regime change - I don't think this makes PVR more attractive, it just makes new licenses less attractive.
