@davysed. you could always liquidate enough of your existing holding to buy your allocation under the offer for 19p. if you were on the share register on 15/05 you qualify for the offer even if not holding now. Thats my understanding. Anyone care to confirm this?
i think Aviva simply rode up on the momentum of post-election results last week. Normality has returned and uncertainty around Greece will dog us until the markets can either see a positive outcome for them or the markets can quantify the impact on Aviva exposure. With hindsight i should have sold but i generally tend to hold long term these days.
i think it is the market makers doing much of the hoovering up. they will be aware of the long /medium term potential of this stock and the likely demand when an announcement is made that the stock will go ex-offer and that also means ex-warrants.expect a surge in the sp ,but im unsure how the open offer will be worded. I was looking for this dip to top up today after having listened again to James P.
