What is going on with Kenmare? I bought in originally for £0.0181 and held a million shares since then i have topped this up numerous times as it has gone down hoping that eventually it would increase as for most days the amount of buys has outweighed the sells. I can not get my head round why it is dropping so fast? can anyone make heads or tails of this?
An interesting release today, first the appointment and a strategic review - this is well overdue by 12 months so 'progress' towards accepting a sale of the business means we are just arguing over price. On the production figures I would like to see the detail on the cost savings - last years costs were way too high and need to be driven further down. jury is out for me lets see 28th August position.
I actually think David Robb is playing this very well.... Why does he have to rush the due dilligence...? He could have made an increased offer at any point since the last one but assuming the new offer were to be based on a share exchange then he would have had to give more iluka shares away in order to secure the higher price demanded by the KMR Board. With the Iluka share price approaching 8 Aussie Dollars again I can't help thinking the case for a second offer is becoming stronger.
Not to worry Delano. We are all novices really. You just need a little bit of luck.
Role of Banks, The fate of Kenmare is now dictated 100% by the banks. Guesstimates about Ilmenite pricing; changes to Institutional holdings; Iluka intentions etc are interesting side-shows ....... but no more. If the banks decide to work pro-actively with the company in the coming two years then the target of 26p set by Alison Turner (Panmure Gordon) is achievable. A study of banking norms and modalities as it relates to Mining will give a better view of this company's prospects than a study of Mineral Sands Mining
at least the directors are also losing money as they have some shares. Also the Pru as a major share holder cannot be happy.
When a football team keep on losing the Manager gets sacked. How come loosing BOD's continue to get paid and not sacked ?
I have the 'rabbit in the head lights' approach to investing. I won't sell my losses and I sell my profits too soon. I am trying to swap this trend and sell my losses and hold my gains. I am getting better to not selling my gains. But I do find it hard to sell at a loss. I am sitting on a big loss with Kenmare, but as usual I am very reluctant to sell and take the loss.
