Oil companies pump this stuff out from the most hostile environments in the world - so what makes sucking it out of a few fields in Surrey so impossible?? I have been in the Oil and Gas business for a lot of years so please enlighten me to you thinking?
Re buy out there will be no buy out - watp1 - can you please give us a detailed overview of the costs that you have calculated that make this a 'pipedream' ??
Ok, I will call Shell, BP, the Saudis and the US tomorrow and tell them that they should all stop producing oil because apparently they wont make any money out of it!! Derampers - Get real!!
And what would a £100m buyout give as a share price?
The Frackmaster of Breitling Energy Corporation seems to be speaking very highly of HH! Maybe he will make sure that his company are in prime position to take this over!
I see first hand on a daily bases what it costs companies to support offshore oil operations; even if you just look at the costs double or triple the workforce (2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 2weeks on and 3 weeks off) floatels, helicopopter filghts etc. None of these costs will be required in the Surrey countryside, so to say that it will cost too much to get it out of the ground is nonesense!
Well there you go - Oil companies obviously feel that producing oil offshore of greenland in a harsh and hostile environment hundreds of miles from land is more economically viable and easier to commision than sucking larger quantaties of the stuff out of a few fields in Surrey!!
Is it only the doom and gloom merchants that are attending the show??
