I posted this info yesterday on ADVFN and also sent an email to EDL over the last number of days in relation to these licences and I think that has been the reason for the RNS today. Please find details of EDL’s licences, licence number, exp date etc. 5002/2008, active, exp date 5/5/14, Coal 5420/2008, active in default, exp date 23/10/14, Uranium 5659/2009, active, exp date 18/3/15, Uranium 5790/2009, active, exp date 11/6/15, all minerals, 6098/2009, active, exp date 3/12/15, Coal, in partnership with Upendo Group 6101/2009, active, exp date 23/9/15 Coal, in partnership with Upendo Group 6124/2009, active in default, exp date 30/12/15, Uranium 6147/2009, active, exp date 11/12/15, Coal 6174/2009, active, exp date 12/11/15, Coal 6180/2011, active in default, exp date 14/2/15, was with EDL but now listed with Javan 6993/2009, active in default, exp date 15/3/15, Coal 7799/2012, active, exp date 3/4/16, Coal P26139, Application made, Uranium P26363, Application made, Uranium All the above licences are either prospecting licences or applications. Prospecting licences are initially issued for 4 years or in some cases 6 years. The licences can be renewed up to a collective period of 11 years, but if a mining licence is not issued before the first renewal period, then 50% of the licence area must be relinquished and the area must be in block not cherry picking parts of an area to relinquish. To get a mining licence the company must submit an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and a Feasibility study report and apply for a mining licence. EDL had stated in a Sept 11th RNS that they had engaged a company to do this and would be applying for the mining licence.
