Re: Trades Good question 50 Waw,I made the same remark to myself. I had a look at the digitallook website to get the latest numbers on major shareholdings and according to this site, AXA held more than 42 million shares. In their latest RNS AXA mentions they dont hold any Sinclair shares anymore. Since they sold some 27 million shares, there seems to have been a serious number of shares sold before this last sale. I didnt see any RNS mentioning this. And then there is this strange move from Henderson. One day they mention a substantial direct holding and just a day later the biggest part of this holding is exchanged as CFDs. Is somebody betting on a substantial rise very soon?Ambiorix.
Re: 2 pronged approach IMO you don't pay ( or little ) for the oil related part. They have managed through the years to pay a nice div from their other operations. And in a time no one was speaking already of oil exploration in the Falklands.Oil is the icing on the cake. It's still the dreaming part but it could be enormous when dream becomes reality.
Re: FLG Chart Breakout, very positive Sell! My wife has a small ISA holding yielding £220 total. With the share swap at 0.74 per FLG she ends up with 770 yielding around £120 pa. No brainer!
Re: Trades Nice to see the share price moving North last week AXA sold Henderson bought but where has the missing 16m shares gone? Someone I feel bought them according to the trades.
I just gave TSCO a BUY rating: shares being massively shorted by spiv hedge funds. Stores are showing increasing foot fall. Prices not needing to be savaged to maintain 30% share. Overseas and intangible assets not fully factored into price.. Will I be right? [link]
Re: Reassuring news Thanks, roco200; I shall have a read.....can't believe how badly this share has performed and don't understand why considering that DB has worked hard to turn the company around and although there were some big one off expenses and a few teething mistakes, he hasn't done anything major wrong at all...as far as I know...
From LSE bb 'FT watch out' You have upset the Chinese this time. If they don't get a fair deal you'll be in trouble. They don't usually forgive and forget. They can destroy you and your family. They can bribe your cooks, gardeners and servants etc. to give you poisons such as radiation, deicer or insecticide.[link] ========== ========== =
Re: FLG Chart Breakout, very positive Good point, I tend to agree. I will probably sell as soon the 14% hits the price, probably on opening, and look for another +6% yielding share.
Reassuring news A poster on LSE has had an informative & reassuring 15 minute chat with DB.Have a read. Oversold - great time to buy/top up perhaps.Or is DB still just talking a good story? We want action not words.
kalaa mpinga [link] must read , its in french but it demonstrates whats at stake for MWA in DRC, no value at this moment in our books but if this would happen we would become the African Glencore, watch this space!!! imo

Re: FLG Chart Breakout, very positive For me I think its a case of take the money and run. I am highly fearful of the changes to annuities.Everyone will want to draw money down ( I certainly will).
Re: FLG Chart Breakout, very positive It says so in the rns if you include dividend and value share (whatever that is).
Strat Aero (AERO) There was a related IPO to GOS Systems this week: Strat Aero (AERO).From "Shares" magazine, 20th. November 2014:"Strat Aeros drone pushSmall cap could fly if permit and contract negotiations prove successfulA wealth of news over the coming months should help raise the profile of drone expert Strat Aero (AERO:AIM) building on a 69% rise on its first day on the stock market (17 Nov). The £10.1 million cap trains people to fly unmanned aerial vehicles ... "[link] tips the company at 13.25p.The company has raised £650,000 in a placing at 8p a share, giving it a value of £6.2m. at the IPO price.Currently £9.43M. at 12.25p.Forecast revenue for the second half of 2014 is $300,000, though it is then forecast to ramp up very strongly.Note the comparatively modest amount of money AERO have raised: just £650,000.GOS were trying to raise over ten times that amount: £8M. (£5M. of which was to acquire Deltenna, and most of the rest to ramp up expansion overseas).I'm sure that if GOS had tried for just £650,000, and at a modest valuation like AERO, then they could have IPOed with no problem.
