Re: Re: Yes I did see that production wasn't going to be cut, although I guess the market is factoring for cut at some point.Like you I waited and topped up this afternoon at £1.14. I intend to hold for a couple of years and hope for some significant capital growth.

Re: Reason for sharp SP rise? GPedro,I might add that I bought MGNS before results came out so from historic fundamentals it did not look as bad as it does now. The results came as a shock tot he market judging by SP fall so I was not alone in misjudging them.Incidentally another one my own filter picked out was ITV. Worth looking at IMO.
Re: Interims Yeah, agreed with the goodwill, it can hide a multitude of sins on the balance sheet and I am wondering if they overpaid a bit for ACM. The oil price might stimulate demand and shipping but at least some of BMS's business is work for the oil and gas offshore industry which might be rather subdued given the current climate.Having said that, the yield here (if sustainable) is worth holding on to and it will be interesting to see a whole 6 months of contribution from ACM to see how much that adds to the bottom line
Re: A production cut would have hurt GMS' prospects. Production staying the same does not affect them. Indeed a lower oil price should give them a lower operating cost and thus increased margins anyway!I have been hovering waiting to buy these for some time now. I got in today at 115p a share!
In today... Thought I would buy a few of these today as the recent fall appears to have steadied - famous last words - and the recent purchases by company directors and employees suggest confidence in the outlook. It's a bit sooner than I expected but thought that 17.85 was OK and that I could buy more when the price moves either way.
Re: Buy according to Investors Chronicle! It would appear that the penny has dropped here. Investors can now see real evidence that long established plans are beginning to bear fruit right across all business units at Stobart Group. This stock has been oversold without looking at the data. I think Ariel price target of 180p is achievable within the next 12 months. GLA
