CRU schwee 02 Dec 2014

Re: Fersters resigned They hold approx 6.5 million shares equating to some 15% of the shares, so there is quite an overhang. It could take years to feed these into the market, so there will probably have to be a private sale either to a predator or City institutions. In £ terms it would be petty cash to any purchaser, but maybe not so to the Fersters.Either way the operating performance of CRU has just got to improve.

Re: ex div and share price movements I'm surprised that the SP hasn't risen quite a bit more to take full account of the huge dividend. I'm pretty certain that we will see a 20p mark down when we go ex dividend on 12 Dec. The question then is will some shareholders then sell in which case the SP should drop a bit more. However, there might be others, like myself, who reckon that this share has potential to pay out significant dividends in the future so 130 will be a very good top-up point indeed. All the best

Re: IN FOR A PENNY IN FOR A POUND!! No ....it is just a saying!I have done it before in similar circumstances and eventually wished I'd been a bit more careful! I am not selling mine but I am certainly not adding anymore! Bantam...my wheelbarrows got a flat tyre so I'll store mine with my other valuable possessions...they can keep the Ken Dodd LP collection company!

Re: slow upwards move... Taken from the recent interim results:The DCD Media Board has taken the appropriate steps to restructure operations, to focus more on the international rights business while taking action to mitigate the risks inherent in the challenging production environment. We are now anticipating an expansion of the rights business into lucrative genres which will help to exploit the maximum value from our rapidly growing library. The outlook in the short to medium term is encouraging, being content rich in distribution; the foundation is laid for accelerated growth. We are also well-placed now to benefit from the array of broadcaster engagements in the production division, having adjusted the cost base and focused attention on business winners. These developments, we believe, position DCD Media well for a return to profitability. Also, debt is likely to be paid off now as this was due to take place last month:"We are delighted to report that we are almost through the turnaround cycle with a return to economic and financial stability in sight. We have all but completed the repayment of the term debt which had previously caused the business to be radically weakened."The focus on the international rights distribution business continues to excite and we are delighted to welcome Nicky Davies Williams to the Board. And while we have faced tough challenges in the production divisions, we now look forward to progressing with a leaner business."With restructuring costs to be taken out of the equation in future financial statements and the amount of commissions the company is winning lately we should return to profitability pretty quickly...I can't believe a company of this size is trading at a £1.27M mcap currently! They have just won a 'multi-million dollar' commission for Penn & Teller. When the market wakes up to the potential here it could be explosive... GLA

Re: Lonestar Lonestar - OUCH!I did sell half of my ECWO holding a few weeks back, but the SP has taken a huge hit since. Waiting for the next NAV figure with interest....Why didn't they sell some LNR stock when it was four times the current SP??

Re: IN FOR A PENNY IN FOR A POUND!! I hate to say it but fools are easily parted with their money. Large numbers does not mean big money! I would suggest that you invest your money in buying a very large wheelbarrow to take your pre-dilution shares down to the bonfire!Bantam..sad but not much chance of coming back from this! 2015 I'll be using this as a loss against my CGT!

Intel buys PasswordBox I wonder if there could be a bid for GB Group soon? They are working with the likes of Microsoft so there could be a potential bid there?Purley speculative, otherwise GBG looks fully valued.

FUL Willow67 02 Dec 2014

Can't continue There is clearly some punchy buying going on as the shares continue their near vertical ascent (I now have a paper profit of 70% in a couple of months). This can't continue and the shares are now on a 45-55 PER for this year. Clearly the sector is very much in vogue and investors are chasing all casual dining operators higher.

ITE Oxtrader 02 Dec 2014

Results These results demonstrate that ITE has a risky year ahead. Cash reserves depleted, any new acquisitions in the forthcoming year will need to be funded by the market, thus a possible rights or dilution of the share price. Dividend cover weakened and with little guidance to how they might wish to diversify away from Eastern European markets. But EPS and profit has been upheld, but as I said - I doubt this'll be the case in next year's results. As this will be heavily reliant on revenues with little protection from volatility. As which as we can see, fell heavily. Despite it's low PE and price, far too risky for me to invest in!

Re: New board I know what you are saying but I am just a bit weary with a change to the board and new people come to the trough.Lets hope the Kazakh gov will let us move forward soon and they have to be care full as companies will not want to invest because of beaurocracy or corruption butwe are a small company and do not have the clout of cnooc for instance.

Re: Why the rise? EG,And I like any business where the directors have a lot of skin in the game, as they do here, albeit not as much as in another of my top of the pops, Renishaw (RSW), where I have a bigger chunk of my shrunken wad invested than I do with Abcam.I'd like to see Abcam move to the main market ... I don't trust AIM companies as a general rule. The mere existence of a company on the AIM register is usually enough for me to put my cheque book back in its unborn baby crocodile skin wallet. Abcam is the one exception in my tiny portfolio.LKH on the flybridge
