Re: AYM What was / is the story on TECK. I think we should be told! Thanks
Re: short extension to offer timing.. seems they're assuming they'll need some additional support -they've extended by another couple of weeks: [link]

Re: GREAT COMPANY, WRONG PRICE I am selling my Heineken now. Off topic, but if you read my earlier posts, below, I was suggesting buying at 45, sold for 63.17
...Navo...good statement.. ...strong, robust statement from Sierra Leone. I am content to put my faith in a satisfactory deal with SiSG and appreciate the continuing supprt of the SL government. There are so many 'knockers' out there, desperate in their own creepy way to usher in the demise of AMI with 'I told you so....aren't I so clever'. I think Frank Timis is a bit more formidable than most imagine and those in power in SL are happy to remain positive and supportive of him.... ..... as a shareholder with a hefty chunk of shares.....he has my support too.
Re: From Citywire That corresponds with my view based on the following- Problems are mainly focussed on Heathrow seemingly due to bad pricing (albeit on a materially significant contract or set of contracts)- The stock is oversold based on redemptions at Schroders and the disposal of shares arising from death duties - the volumes over the last month or so have been way above normal...- I believe that there are some good contract wins in the aviation division- And in the distribution business I am hopeful that there is some value in the infrastructure for etailers...Clearly I hope nothing else comes out in the wash - that said a new CEO will use this as an opportunity to get hold of the business...All IMHO...
Re: short extension to offer timing.. John Byrne underwriting some of this is good enough for me. I've taken up all my rights, but on my original purchase this was peanuts, so I've also applied for a chunk of additional shares. Enough to make it a decent investment if it comes good (which I think would be unrealistic on the rights alone, following the dilution) and a loss that will be worth claiming against other gains if not!Let's hope the technology stays good and starts making money!Good luck all,

Re: Canaccord Genuity buy - 106p tgt The results were reasonable but in the current environment I don't see the P/E as attractive with those results. Sold for a loss. Hate doing that but I think they will fall enough for a buy back to make up the difference in this case. Annoyed.Good luck on your buy. Some of those might have been mine.
Re: Abcam moving from AIM to the main LSE ma... Grass,"after Abcam joins the main market - it is just a question of when the inevitable happens."Jeff Iliffe, the head abacus rattler at Abcam, is also a NED at Treatt (incidentally my biggest single holding). Treatt is capitalised at not much more than a tenth of Abcam and yet Treatt is listed on the main market rather than on AIM. I imagine that that will have made Jeff at least consider putting on big boy pants and moving Abcam over to the main market, where all sorts of investors might well be willing to put some money into Abcam shares who are currently forbidden by the rules of their funds from investing in an AIM company.Bring it on!LKH on the flybridge with apologies to pharmaspecialist
Re: berenberg targets £4.10 I can see the stock being worth that in a year with further earnings growth, but for hitting 4.10 today, I think this one might be near a short-term peak on a long-term trajectory of steady growth as profits continue to improve with constant ROCE.
Re: Why the rise? Yes I see now - patience is a virtue I could do with some more of...Bear in mind also with the number of products shipped in last 90 days that this will change with the time of year as well as resulting from genuine growth. Expect relative dips over the summer (Europe on holiday) and especially in December for Christmas holiday. Sept/Oct/Nov is a strong period.
Re: Why the rise? Pharma,"the inheritance tax exemption on holdings in AIM companies after they have been owned for for two years or more is very attractive."I can quite understand that attitude, though it has always struck me as dangerous for investors when government provides generous tax breaks merely for holding Investment A (AIM) but not for holding Investment B (Main Market). That's a charlatan's charter. As an aside, it also strikes me as totally wrong that people who would normally be liable for IHT should be able to avoid it via the simple expedient of slapping their wad (or part of it) into an AIM company. Yeah, yeah, I know that government wants to encourage investment in small companies, but that ain't the way to do it. Rant over.If I were Gidiot I'd abolish IHT completely and, when someone carks it, I'd tax whatever his/her heirs received in the will at his/her marginal income tax rate. It's right that recipients of largesse pay tax on the spondoolies, but not right that, in addition to the disappointment of actually dying, one's estate is then stripped by HMRC.LKH on the flybridge
Re: MHCP Milestones lawdoc, E.ON announced yesterday a big re-organisation, they are going to concentrate on renewable energy, and I think CFU could benefit big time from this decision. The detail of what the E.ON decision entails regarding the new direction need to be clarified, but I think they are looking at local generation, smart grids, and lots of green generation. As you will note from my previous posts, I consider these integrated units to be key to success for CFU. The trials at soft-pact.eu have been ongoing for some time and if E.ON, CFU and Ideal Boilers pull this one off, it could be very big for CFU and its shareholders, especially at current sp of around 0.4p. The integrated units and Bluegens will supplement and support the green generation, all co ordinated and modulated by an electronic smart grid.IMHO DYOR NAI
Re: Closing in on highs So what happened I turn my back for a day and suddenly the share price is tanking . Having sold out earlier this year at £6.90 I was looking to get back in at a lower price now I think I will have to wait and see how far down this will go . Is it just the oil price or is there something else going on?
