Re: Just a thought But what would be the reason for the substantial upside? No major assets that I am aware of. And the cash wit has in the bank will soon be gone. This company has no OIL. It was a dream that Kelleher had but for us PI a nightmareAdministration is just around the corner, then de listed. Best get out with something if you can!CheersLast one out turn the lights off
Re: Increased holding DDPWhy are you bothering to rise to LSpoon1 - his posts have already been proven to be contradictory containing distortions of the facts as well as containing down right lies.Had he have shorted this, or any other stock, he would not have stated that he "sold" 50,000 shares.Even his nick name tells you what he is - "Large Spoon" - he's just stirring it.Just put him on ignore - he has nothing of value to add here.Shorty
Re: Re-CEO Sorry guys it is not this ceo but it is the chairman.
Re: Dividend My account is here through II and I have'nt seen anything yet either
Apologies I am of course a holder of this share and advocate a buy position, I touched the sell view by mistake, my apologies.DDP
Re: Increased holding Of the thousands of investment opportunities in the marketplace you happen to have chosen Findel. Which makes me wonder why. You display intimate knowledge of the company tinged with hope for failure. To dismiss Schroders as "mugs" smacks of unbelievable arrogance. If I didn't know better I would say you were a member of the former board of directors of this company, unceremoniously removed from office by major shareholders for taking it to the brink of bankruptcy in the first place. But what would I know ?DDP
Re-CEO This ceo knows what he is doing.he was involved in SQS.just look at how that has turned out.Top man for the job.
Benefication [link] commitment by platinum producers to undertake beneficiation and value addition initiatives, Government decided to defer export tax on unbeneficiated platinum to 2017.I would like to assume that MWA's smelter upgrade could play a role in this platinum benefication programfyi
Re: Fersters resigned So possibly not then.
RNS: good aquisition, fits the strategy well, nice price. Shares should be up in response.
12.25p Share Buy Back of 21.6% Shares The company is buying out small shareholders first to reduce costs and then larger shareholders. 12.25p must be a new floor to the share price . It must also show confidence in the trading if they can buy back this many shares. I think that the company is being a bit opportunist with the current low share price, but that is the time to buy back shares so it is a sensible decision and gives a floor to the share price. The money is coming from their existing overdraft facilities. 21.6% is a huge chunk of shares, It is expected that the EPS will increase - so the cost of the overdraft must be cheaper than paying a dividend? If the profits develop well, then presumably there will be more share backs in the medium term if he share price stays low.The B
new share issue proposed? Sorry bee noff the ball recently - this doen't sound good at all !!Orogen Gold plc (AIM: ORE), the AIM quoted gold exploration company, announces that it has today published a circular to shareholders ("Circular" to convene a general meeting ("GM" at which it proposes the sub-division and consolidation of the Company's share capital ("Capital Reorganisation" and to grant new authorities to allot and issue ordinary shares. The Capital Reorganisation and the grant of new authorities are subject to the approval of shareholders at the GM which is being held at 2.00 p.m. on 19 December 2014 at Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street, London EC1V 9EE.
Re: Good company Any reason for the recent share price increase other than the change to Dollar reporting?
Re: Beacon Hill Shareholders Action Grou... Jindal would be an ideal candidate to buy there asset(s), crazy they haven't been knocking on there door with an offer, maybe they have but the BOD have refused.I understand the BOD wanting to keep there jobs and that but don't see why at the same time they wouldn't want to also make a successful business long term, given current commodity prices though there's little they can do at the moment to make the business work, I think its more a case of them wanting to make the business work than give up and sell, I'm sure given RK's academic background he would have no trouble getting another job, but can you imagine joining a company and in 2 years saying you, well failed, ran up a load of debt and made no profit, then sold it for a fraction of its potential/what you invested in it. The company has reduced there losses buy over 50% in 2013 compared to the year prior, but still with the commodity price so low the only way they are going to get funding is at a discount to the price at the time of raise which is then sold by the II's and hence the continued drops.Let face it, not worth selling now, might as well see it though to the end, there's not that many possible outcomes here..
Re: Increased holding Dear PDD (deliberate in case you think otherwise...)I really wouldn't take a huge amount of comfort from Schroders purchase for two primary reasons1) If a share falls by 15%+ it is bad news. Schroders have bought the shares because no-one else wanted to. It is not unusual for an existing majority shareholder (Tosca or Schroders for FDL) to buy any surplus to stop further declines.(2) Schroders built up its initial stake in FDL at 20p+ (400p+ in old money). It then followed its money at the two rights issues FDL carried out at distressed prices where FDL raised £160m. The 25% holding which it protected would have cost £40m in these rights issues.Add this £40m to the cost of its previous investments and It is fair to say that Schroders has invested significantly more than £43m which is the current value of its 25%.No reading between the lines on this one, just an institutional investor sat on a large loss. I am also not deceiving anyone, unfortunately for you these are just facts!!If you see someone chasing a loss as good news that's your choice......generally averaging down is a mugs game and even for a household name such as Schroders this has been the case for FDL.1SpponL
