Re: NEW ARTICLE: Smooth sailing at Clarkson This news seems fine in August, however here we are in December and the SP has dropped a fair bit. Is this due to the overall market sentiment at present or is there something fundamental that has changed in Clarksons outlook?
Re: oil gold and the dollar Your final comment about the AIM market is so true. One of my other holdings GBGR is moving up to the main market in a couple of weeks time in the hope of being taken more seriously. It will be interesting to see how this affects their share price. It would perhaps help credibility if MWA were to do the same.
Re: Benefication Vincent, the word "benefication" does not appear in the English dictionary. It is created by the writer to both impress and confuse! You have fallen into their trap!
Gold up, Shanta down Standard!....
Re: Dividend Received mine yesterday, within the employee scheme.
Re: Sale of Holdings Whoops, double posted ! Someone rang just as I was pressing send ! Wasn't sure if it had gone through.Moonsurfer.
Sale of Holdings In view of the quantity disposed of, a UP of 320p seems quite re-assuring, especially as the buyers must be aware that further significant disposals could take place after a 90 day lock-in period.Sell or top up ?Moonsurfer

Re: Dividend iii have been slow payers of dividends in my experience sometimes 10 days after the expected date. I have received one set of income today expected 30th Nov and still awaiting another x3 funds to pay out due at the end of last month.Report back when your paid, I dont know why iii are so slow compared to others, maybe its because their cheap!
Re: Todays RNS - Highlights . . . I agree but dont know much about market price manipulation except that it seems to exists in epidemic proportions these days.Like a lot of us I've been exposed to a few shares that have been severely roughed up in the past and have experienced the frustration of seeing a few £grand repeatedly eating away at legitimate value. But I actually have a good feeling about this share - the company has no debt, proven resources, low initial outlay to start commercial mining and all round good prospects for 2015. Reading this latest RNS everything seems very positive and I think that as the mine swings into operation the share price is going to be very difficult to manipulate and as I see it there's only one way it's going to go ~ and as you say the prospect of finding a big stone makes it all the more exciting.I'm more than happy to sit this one out and add a little when I can.
Not dilutive They are buying assets so its not dilutive the actual assets will rise.
Re: 12.25p Share Buy Back of 21.6% Share... Hi mnamna,Thanks for the update. I was dashing out so had not spotted the "Background to and reasons for the Tender Offer" section at the bottom. Yes, technically they are using their own cash, but they also need an overdraft so that they have enough cash, so to my mind they have taken out an overdraft so that they can buy back the shares. It makes one wonder what it costs AIEA for each shareholder on its books?Last year I voted against the dividend at the AGM. I also voted again by post this year. I would much prefer share buy backs/ higher bank balances while trading is challenging.( cf CFX who have been steadily buying back shares over the years and there are now far fewer CFX shares). Had the very generous dividend been used to buy back shares, then we would not have paid tax on the dividend and the overdraft would have been smaller.Very pleased to hear that the improved trading conditions continues:-"The trading environment has been in line with the expectations expressed in the results statement."Again it makes me wonder if the current market price for the shares is too low.The B
oil gold and the dollar Because gold traders often track the cost of oil, which can impact consumer costs and inflation, Brent at 70US$ is not good for gold price adding to the pain for investors in the metal is a dollar rally thats curbing demand for alternative assets. The outlook for gold remains bearish The metal will remain in a downward trend as long as prices dont climb above $1,225 to $1,240. Bullion may slip to about $1,000 in six monthsMWA needs to show a drop of C3 costs below US$1000 otherwise the gains in the nickle business will be offset through gold!I believe 2.4 p is an absurd price for this company, I dont see any added value for this company to stay listed as such as mining is a long term business and MWAs management is clearly demonstrating that they can execute on a long term business plan but the mechanismes of the AIM market will kill any upside momentum abusing short term news imo
Re: Work programme shortfall. NQM,I had spotted exactly the same thing, with some concern. I had actually 'copied', and was going to 'paste' the very same 'Work Programme Shortfall' text.It seems to me that the company were far too bullish (stupid?) to sign up to such a punitive 'Work Programme' in the first place. My hope, and perhaps belief is that there is no real upside for the MOE to impose the fine which they would be entitled to do, by the terms of the agreement. If they do, then MXP will be bust, and can't pay anyway. What is clear from the report is that the future of MXP is on a knife edge.I am left feeling somewhat embarrassed at how much money I have personally pumped into shares in this company.Oh dear.Cheers,Betamaxman.
