Re: Going like a rocket funny how this in never recommended or even mentioned anywhere in the press. guess they don't pay for it. I'm looking for a UK smaller cos fund. I ignored this at first as being too high-risk given its conviction (75% in its top 10). But Trustnet gives it an FE risk rating of 90 - lower than the FTSE100, and certainly low for its sector. I also note that this fund rose in value while the market dropped in 2011. So, I've missed its discount narrowing, but I'm still interested. But what's the catch? This fund looks a bit too good to be true?

Re: Peel Hunt is selling Madness - could be trouble with the w/o on Athena? Still they should be pumping c700bopd without suceess here. Could explain IAE weakness also, that or BlackRock selling. Regardless surely abandonment costs will come down again with falling oil price?

Re: Happy Days intersetingly I could 999 to the cart and it let me go to check-out. So either1 - the website is not checking availability against the 1000 or 2 - there is no interest at all.....Let's hope it's reason 1. Surely it should check against the 1000, as it is supposed to be on a first come first served and I'd be mighty annoyed if I'd purchased one and then found out that I couldn't have it until later.

Re: Work programme shortfall. Not sure any auditor would allow the publication of this without a provision made unless there was a likelihood of the deferral being accepted.Would be worth checking out if there is precedent for this happening.

Prospects for investors I was told there were less than 4m shares in issue and with demand high and profits rising steadily, this was a company going places and should not be overlooked. May buy in soon asthey boast a £1 interim dividend too ! ( feb. 2015)

Re: rns .... and to H*LL with the small investors!!Is the expectation that small P.I.s will eventually grow tried of watching management and employees exclusively reaping the rewards of the profit, which position our investment helped the company to reach, so that we cut our losses and run at the depressed SP allowing those with very deep pockets to cheaply increase (sorry, split infinitive) their stake in a profitable mine which will eventually start paying out when the big investors say so? (excuse the length of that sentence!)

CNCT Hydrogen Economy 03 Dec 2014

SP - RI In case anyone was wondering what the current SP reflected - as I was, noting that my broker was showing a reduction in pool cost I had to check the Prospectus to determine that the current SP is equal to the price assuming rights are taken up,ie If you held 10000 pounds worth COB 1st Dec when price was approx 1.85 ie 5405 sharesIf you take up the 2 for 7 rights you will have 6950 total shares and pay 1575 pounds for the additional 1544 shares at 1.02p per share. So effective SP is 11575/6950 = 1.66 which was where the SP opened on 2nd. (although drifted lower since in weak market)You can correct for your pool price by substituting you old pool price for 1.85 in the above calculation. But you canny CNCT investors knew all about that anyway.Don't forget to elect for your preferred option before 10thI'll be happily taking up my new shares, CNCT feels like a steady though unspectacular bet with good yield.H2
