Re: Boil water notice " Be interesting to see what falls out of this total shambles."They'll recover just like they always do. A lot of companies suffer disasters, learn from it and carry on. South West Water putting chemicals into the wrong tank and turning peeps hair green, BP disaster in the Gulf etc. Running a utilities company is more complicated than you think and UU dispose of polluted water (sewage) as well as supplying drinking water. There will be some compensation to pay of course but it won't cause the company to fold.

Re: 5% revenue? While trying to conjure-up some margin of safety on ARG, I wonder what would happen if Rhea is a failure? When this 5% deal completes, ARG would have received US$2.75 million and should also pass the FIG drilling hurdle to extend the licence for 10 years. If NBL pulled out there should still be some cash left for say 3 year's overheads and the 10 year 100% licence should still have considerable value.40% Rhea success could give say $50 * 5 million barrels = US$250 million with considerable exploration upside.60% Rhea failure may leave a saleable 100% licence area.I guess the price of oil is the real decider on whether development will go ahead but it does look interesting to me as ARG don't need to fundraise, unlike all the other Falkland O&G companies.

Re: Down Yet Again superglass is well known for being great quality in the trade.but many builders now use king span , which is like Styrofoam in regards to its appearance, instead of the quilt appearance of superglass.also I have scene many new brands on the market, it seems the eastern European builders are now bringing there own brands across the boarder.there is plenty of building going on but also plenty of competition. I think superglas had its day with the government subsidising people insulating there existing homes, that has probably peeked and fallen off now. damn shame for superglass investors.just my opinion.t

Re: bounce tomorrow I doubt it very much-the company is in a weak position and issuing cautionary noises only a few months into its life as a publicly quoted company.I hope I'm proved wrong.

Re: Merger Whilst I have been a little concerned about Betfair's focus on EBITDA as a measure of performance (rather than profits) I reckon that the merger with Paddy Power is a brilliant deal so I have become a shareholder again. I look forward to Paddy Power's online marketing expertise and business nous to be applied to Betfair's business. I am also attracted by the lower corporate tax rates which would apply to Betfair if the merged business became domiciled in Ireland - that could make a material difference to Betfair's profitability. The merged company could then buy up other profitable betting companies to take advantage of Ireland's low corporate tax rates. This would parallel what is happening in the US pharma industry where some US pharma companies are becoming Irish domiciled for the low tax rates (though they are not too keen on admitting to this). Let's hope the merger is consummated!

Re: Happy customer? OK - update from a consumer perspective.Good choice of stockWell laid out web site with the necessary information (better than John Lewis)Keen pricesHelpful, friendly staff on the phoneBUTAfter placing order informed a few days before delivery item not available.Ordered alternativeFailed to deliver due to road closuresThen on revised delivery date did not turn up because once more they did not have the stock.All-in-all took 2 months to have cooker & hob delivered and three delivery dates. Not impressed, would not use again and can see why shares have not done too well. Of course just one experience (and they were very apologetic) but they should be slicker given the business they're in.

Re: Drop in share price Just to clarify. There is no net outflow of funds.£600k was received and the £0.92m was paid through the issue of new shares representing a dilution of around 3% I think. The £600k relates to a single product, i.e. for use on head lice. However, TerpeneTech are already marketing odour control products for use with petsThey also hold rights to develop other products using Eden's technology.Speculator
