Interims If as expected the half year figures are out this week we could see some informed buying ahead which may push the SP nearer the 3p mark. Any thoughts anyone?

Re: Find Out Tomorrow Update states that 888 has come back with another offer which is not specified in note. Board say they are now considering both and will revert again in a few days. And the saga continues in to another month, so almost a year on since first muted, unreal.

Is this going to be super September for GKP? GKP positive points for September: 1.) KRG has bookmarked $75-100mill for payment to oil companies – Source KRG website 2.) KRG has said not once, but twice it will start payments to oil companies from September and expect the first payment to be before 15th September – 3.) Gulf Keystone can “satisfy all its obligations to both its contractors and creditors” after authorities in Kurdistan, where the company operates, committed to making monthly payments from September Source CFO Sami Zouari 4.) New CRP due in the next few weeks – Source GKP 5.) Oil Price increase from baseline of $40/b to $52(ish) 6.) US output less 300K from previous numbers 7.) Unrest issues south of Iraq looks to reduce the amount of oil exported from that region 8.) OPEC expressed concern on Monday about oil's price drop and said the group is ready to talk to other producers about it.' Source Reuters GKP negative points for September: 1.) Re: Genoma sales increases every month s... Hi f32,We clearly think alike as I've added on two occasions since the placing. There must be some decent revenues accruing from at least three of the contract wins by now and I think the next trading update should be a significant share price catalyst. With the amount of stock now in institutional hands here the limited liquidity should soon see the share price back up in the 30s imho.Not long to wait now for some news surely?ATB,T

To me this was a deliberately engineered theft of the company by the directors and the Ad-Hoc group. The defaults (just after declaring a US$237 a cash position), write downs, and continual bad news, were a little too convenient for me. If this was board room incompetence, then it was on a truly epic scale. Rightly or wrongly, I believe that this was corporate fraud, and the comments of the major shareholder SRM don't sound too different."Throughout, SRM was implacably opposed to the restructuring, viewing it as an unjustified seizure of the company by the bondholders."

Re: Former Directors Possibly Embezzled ... a fascinating report Kenj2, although as you probably know I have long regarded Shahenshah as the original villain of the piece, and he has walked away with millions in kickbacks.it almost looks now as if Afren was doomed, between the low POO and crippling production problems - due largely it seems to Shahenshah mismanaging the reservoir, going all out for maximum short term production and bringing on the water problems - the unbalanced debt profile and poor hedging policy.really distasteful carry on for anyone who lost a lot of money here, but any new money that went in was good money after bad, as the bond holders seem likely to discover to their cost
