First look Had a first look at this, but I think that some market commentators have misread the release.£8m profit from continuing businesses, but maybe a loss of £3m from solar = £5m?EPS maybe 6p this year, 8p next year?I value this at no more than 60p for now.I'm thinking........

NEW ARTICLE: Sun sets on Entu's solar division "It's been less than a year since LSE:ENTU:Entu (UK) floated on AIM, but it's already lost 60% of its market value and the promise of fat dividends has been somewhat deflated. It's all down to the struggling solar division, which the ..."[link]

Re: Minimum wage and debts Games,"Gidiot's next move is more likely to be to increase it at the Supermarket end"Suits me down to the ground ... now that I've sold my Tesco shares LOL. Let's encourage people to go to the pub rather than buy their booze in the supermarket and neck it at home.LKH on the flybridge

Re: Minimum wage and debts "and that may benefit FSTA to some extent"This is probably a good point in that there will come a day when the remaining boozers will be packed. The things that need to be addressed are business rates (a very silly tax) and booze tax which is not inline with the supermarkets etc.Although Gidiot's next move is more likely to be to increase it at the Supermarket end rather than lowering that levied on the pubs and restairants -- such is the cynic in me.Games

Re: Fall definitely arrested! I'm here to join in the celebrations, congrats to all for holding on! Now facing a different dilemma - whether to sell now and invest the cash during this recent downturn, or hold and wait for the (hopeful) offer acceptance and the final 3-4% appreciation to 1100! Agree it seems unlikely a better offer will emerge otherwise this wouldn't have been an RNS. If I sell now am eyeing topping up Diageo at current levels or maybe looking at Fenner... but haven't looked into Fenner enough yet to take a dive - will sleep on it rather than make a snap decision.

ERT about to receive cash? "Environmental Recycling Technologies plc (AIM: ENRT), the patent rights holder to the Powder Impression Moulding ("PIM" process, is pleased to announce that it has granted a non-exclusive licence to Earth Enterprises, Inc., of Colorado, USA ("Earth Enterprises". The PIM process converts mixed waste plastics into commercially viable products" and on 4th August we got an update that made it sound as though the plant should be up and running very soon, if not by now.Does the fee get paid as soon as commissioning is complete? If so, then ERT ought to get the cash very soon.

NEW ARTICLE: Stockwatch: Plenty of reasons to buy this share "Is Tate on the turn? In my last macro piece I suggested the London stockmarket is unlikely to slump because it offers plenty of stocks yielding 3-5% which is attractive when any interest rate rise will likely be minimal. Re: Minimum wage and debts Games,I don't think FSTA will be very badly affected. The great majority of its pubs are in areas where I would imagine that their employees get paid more than the previous minimum wage already. The new rules will see plenty of spit and sawdust "wet only" pubs close, and that may benefit FSTA to some extent, though perhaps the number of punters who will go down to London for a pint because their local boozer in Doncaster closes may be a tad limited. The new rules on pay do give the brewers a bit of leverage to say to Gidiot that he needs to ease up on booze taxation, so mebbe it's gonnae be win/win I dunno.LKH on the flybridge I hope so
