Directors Buying Interesting to see 2 Directors buying 150k of shares ahead of being Xdiv(10/9) & ahead of the deal.I hold GVC & considering buying in here as a "cheap" way into the merged entity- & the divi of 1.92p is better than nowt, assuming the SP stays at similar or higher levels.

I have also been in Amlin since 2010, and by buying on the dips it had become my second largest holding and attractive upward gradient over that time. So buoyed up by today's sudden gain. But downside is not just what else to invest in but this will trigger a sizable taxable capital gain for me. My largest holding, until today, has been Berkshire Hathaway on the NYSE, which as everyone on here probably knows is an insurance behemoth with significant add-ons to balance out the insurance cycle. It has been a steady performer, no pesky dividends to attract the taxman and unlikely to be taken over.

Re: Interim Results The thing I have noticed is the debt increasing with every set of results, almost a billion dollars now. They dont give you much info on the banking covenants, its this that makes me cautious more than anything else.

Re: Trading statement Not good, not bad. But not very much at all. Basically, this is a share that passes on many value ratings, but whereby there does not appear to be any trigger yet that would justify a re-rating. So, looks like it is a decision as to whether you wait for that trigger, which could be some time, or move on.

Re: 101p He may have as this business is so complex and open to external factors. Just read the full annual accounts to see the legal issues that could come back and bite them in the .......That said, the advisers will have done all their due diligence I am sure!!

Re: 101p I see Kenny Alexander of GVC as a Sorrel of the British Gaming industry and has won the chance to prove his mettle! We'll soon learn if he's bitten off more than he can chew!

Re: Found this good report on WIZZ "a real capex figure, unlike ii."Correction - "a real market cap figure", I should have said. £928m. NB. I believe the above figure and the P/E given on that site are based on final accounts figure for year ENDING March 2015. If so, it means market cap is much bigger now and so is the P/E, at least until the next revenue figures are released.I'd certainly be holding if i already had shares in WIZZ, although if I'd been in from the IPO date, or bought in the after market, I'd take some profits. Few airlines remain a good bet for very long, in my 20+ years of experience of the stock markets.

Re: Found this good report on WIZZ Not sure about your source, especially a P/e of 6.6. Check out this site/link which shows a P/E of 16 - also has a summary of the last 5 year's accounts and a real capex figure, unlike ii.[link] note RNS's about increased traffic during July & Aug. Having travelled in both months I can attest to the fuller than normal flights between Poland and UK. Whether or not it is worth the price, i really don't know. @1780p as I type ... a long long way from the IPO price in March. Might have missed this one if not already boarded! Mind you, must be saving a lot of fuel costs allowed for in IPO calculations.

Re: Good trading update lambrini girl.IMO you have misread the rune stones.Yesterdays trading update confirmed: "Our earnings expectation for this financial year is unchanged and reflects a modest decline in adjusted earnings per share for the group for the full year."On Thursday their 1st USA Primark opens. I have confidence that management know what they are doing and as in Europe their business model will be successful. I am even more bullish than my last posting in July. I would now be a strong buyer at less than 3025p with a target price of £35 by 2017.ABF is my largest share holding by value at a 7.79% at yesterdays close. Next largest PSN at 5.71%. Clothes retailing and house building are currently my favourite sectors.
