Re: Could be The legacy issue from Ethiopia"Discussions regarding the sale of the northern blocks are continuing, with an option agreement (expiring 30 September 2015) in place with a potential vendor to acquire the operating companies; key to which is that the Ministry of Mines accepts the application for renewal of the licences that has been submitted".Drilling in Italy needs permits, so perhaps the receipt of these.Huge dilution at .055p so that could act as a drag on any upward trajectory.C

Re: W T actual F Its a small dilution - in essence - from the accounts - we are now profitable (very profitable for Market Cap) but we still have a large amount of Current Expenditure (within a year) listed in Accounts so hopefully just the board making sure we have liquidity these coming months.Remember - Liquidity of a Company keeps it trading, not Assets. They just sell well if needed.Long Term Holders will love this company moving forward

Looks like market suddenly Woke up to fact that the port will now definitely be constructed and start operating in next 12months! Good news release this morning and high volumes shares being purchased. A long way to £2.50 float price!

FCSS Afrosia 14 Sep 2015

Discount may be fair value I've been thinking about it a bit and I think that FCSS might be fairly valued at a significant discount to NAV. The reason is the steep TER which is around 1.5% If you accept that a share price for an investment trust should equal the NAV less the present value of the charges then this suggests a discount of 18.75% (based upon an average return of 8%).The calculation for this is 1.5 / 0.08. Have I missed something here or do you guys agree?

Re: Time for a takeover? The thing to watch for in next accounts is they show actual revenue growth, but the margin is declining.Shop contacts tell me they are delivering brand new toolings, then ringing up 4 weeks later and flogging off the stock at a big discount. One asked why they were doing it. To hit qtr targets was the answer. Not the best way to preserve your brand.

PAL LK Hyman 14 Sep 2015

Re: Big buys Mantrova,"PAL very cheap at the present sp and one to tap into and lock away."It is cheap ... but possibly for a good reason. Personally, although I'd like to own a palm oil producer, I wouldn't touch this one, if only for the very simple reason that, if you look at the corporate governance section of its website, you see that the same three guys are on the Audit, remuneration and Nominations Committee (Jaoudi, Brown and Samaha). Each of 'em is the chair of one of the committees. "Nothing wrong with that, LK!" I hear you cry. However, Jaoudi and Samaha are described as Directors but, if you go to the Directors bit of the website there is no sign of Jaoudi or Samaha (though old Brown is there). Now it may be that Takes Our Money and Yap Miaow Kitten have replaced Jaoudi and Samaha both as directors and as members of the committees on which Jaoudi and Samaha supposedly sit. However it is a pretty poor show if the website is not updated to reflect that.Sloppy. If they can't get that sort of little detail right, how likely is it that they will be able to run a large plantation operation efficiently in a country which has only recently emerged from the cloisterfrack inflicted upon it by the Charles Taylor feller, eh?I shall watch with interest to see whether and when the website is altered.LKH on the flybridge

Re: iii Spread Spread starting to shrink. It is about time.....Drop the sp a bit more and I will be looking to buy a few more and put them in that bottom drawer.I reckon this will transform in 9 months. All IMO so DYOR and ignore me.Looks like it is time to keep an eye on this one for opportunities.Someones chart reckons 0.8p is the next stop. But we need some good news IMO.GLA.

Re: Takeover It certainly looks like the market's pricing in quite a sizeable risk that we won't get taken out at £5.50 any time soon. Knowing that I don't know, I sold half of mine on 26th August. If it doesn't happen, I'll probably buy them back after the fall (though probably too early). If it happens, I'll be happy with £5.50 for the half I left in...Good luck all,
