Re: Sold Hi OxtraderYes I'm delighted that I sold when I did. Turnover has dropped off a cliff and losses are huge. If it wasn't for the cash pile then I would say there was no future for this company but maybe they have the time to turn it around. I certainly won't be investing again that much I do know.

Re: Trading Update I would agree with coolcharm's comments. Looking at some of the comments made by employees at SG's online development personnel in the US, it is clear that there is a major culture difference between the UK management and the US staff who have more of a "start-up" mentality, although this may not be a problem if managed properly. However, the reason I sold my shares (received when Noble was acquired) is because I fear there is the potential for an awful lot of bad publicity when holders of the company's stamp portfolios realise that stamps are not good investments and try to sell en masse (or as en masse as SG's rules will allow). If you check with any experienced stamp dealer, they will confirm that, with a few unpredictable exceptions, stamps do not provide a good return, particularly over the time horizon for which most people invest. Also stamp valuations produced to support the investment returns claimed by SG are based on SG's own valuations so it is a bit of a closed system. However, I think these are unregulated investments which is clearly good for SG.

Re: This Donkeys D****angling!!!! How has it "always lit your fire exactly" since this shift from small time NF attempt at producer, to NS supposed "innovation" (Drop the crying baby and move on to another process) is relatively new to Enegi/Abtog, and secondly the Buoy technology is far, far more advanced with other Co's, it hasn't left the paper blocks yet with Abtog, to the point they couldn't even maintain a relation with WG who was doing all the provisional footwork for Fyne and we all now know from other sources where that has ended up & that wasn't even being considered for Buoy it was SIFT which Abtog has no real grip on as it's not theirs. As for SIFT, well that isn't Abtog anyway, and anyone wanting such a development can get it custom made without middlemen.

Re: Sold A year on 'another Jacko' from your last post and it must be very warming to see you sold out when you did! I'm not sure LCG will ever see the bottom of this - IG will be pleased.

TATE, Broker Upgrade........... Tate & Lyle tops FTSE 100 on Liberum upgradeThu 24 September 2015 10:22 | A A A(ShareCast News) - Tate & Lyle was the standout gainer on the FTSE 100 after Liberum upgraded the stock to 'buy' from 'sell' and lifted its price target to 670p from 505p.Register for Tate & Lyle plc share research updates"While history is disappointing - four profit warnings and a collapse of around 40% in pre-tax profits since full-year 2014 - we see early signs of change and scope for significant upside," it said. The brokerage said full-year 2016 will prove an inflection point and forecasts a 16% rebound in full-year 2017 pre-tax profit as one-off items drop out and new Speciality Food Ingredients capacity comes online.Liberum said the key question is whether management's strategy can deliver visible, sustainable earnings growth beyond FY17.In order to determine the potential, it benchmarked Tate's operations with US-based Ingredion, which is the group's closest peer. It said the results are reassuring."As we suspected, many facets of Tate's operations compare favourably to Ingredion. In our view, Tate's historical difficulties are grounded in execution and strategic ambition, areas that management is working to address."It added that the company's commitment to a flat dividend in full-year 2016 implies a 5% yield which appears sufficient to support the shares buying time for management to turn around the business and work towards executing the group's long-term strategy. At 1028 BST, Tate shares were up 2.6% at 566p.

Re: Who needs a Chinese fraud.... in a nutshell..the company was brought to market too early. those who advised him to do it also share some of the blame. Greed is a big part of it. the geek who came up with the active/active patent also got his reward at the expense of investors. AIM is bandit country and people should be conscious of that. taking a chunk off the top myself at £15 helps me be sanguine about the loss I'm wearing on my remaining small position.New money may well come at the expense of Mr Richards' job if he cant bring material enough progress to the table with his cap in his hand.Is Wandisco any different from the oil explorers and miners who have come and gone in recent years?

Re: even more oil news ref the gas pipeline; very Interesting read.and LOL, it sounds like the Russians wish to be paid after all..how very odd indeed.Kinda strange if one compares this project with their current contract in Ukraine..! Credit is the word , surely?Well, one other article I read this w/e; indicates our Russian friends might be broke within two yrs plus, given the current oil price. They had better get the pipeline built to China and get some income revenue going, PDQ, that is if China can burn it all. Assuming this is their start to independent funds using payments in the chinese currency rather than petro dollar, bla bla bla.Serious note is whether they will be in a corner and do something crazy to save their economy? Quite risky times lay ahead, in this chess game.

Re: Board contradiction "When a person or group acquires interests in shares carrying 30% or more of the voting rights of a company, they must make a cash offer to all other shareholders at the highest price paid in the 12 months before the offer was announced (30% of the voting rights of a company is treated by the Code as the level at which effective control is obtained)."This doesn't tell me I am forced to accept the cash offer.

A better insight Into the mentality of the self admitted fool could not be illustrated better than his 08. 16 post.Without bothering to check elsewhere, he rejoiced in the incorrect share price shown here. It only confirms my impression that he must have escaped from somewhere. More to be pitied than blamed, poor thing.
