glencore going bust woudl be unimaginable in the context of geopolitical issues this would cause a huge detrimental effect on the FTSE trackers pension funds etal who hold this stock
If Glencore goes bust it will be a very sad state of affairs. It shows that the global economy is failing. This means that you might as well burn the money you have, as it will be worthless anyway. As Glasenberg has stated, the markets do not understand his business model, he would have been better keeping this company off the stock market and then he could have fallen on his own sword rather than being ravaged by the brokers and shorters.
great volume's hoping for good news from jn
Re: Funding Mmmm.... Don't want to be the wet blanket, vfb, but I'm sure you're as familiar as I am with the quality of minuting in small local organisations like this. Very often what's recorded is what they thought was said rather than what was actually said. Could easily have written "have been" instead of "hoped to be".Like I say, don't want to spoil the fun, just want to keep our feet on the ground. But hopefully I'm wrong. And anyway.... today is My Birthday!!!!!
Why the drop? nm

Investec "Investec sees sparkle in Petra DiamondsInvestec has upgraded Petra Diamonds (PDL), believing the stricken miner could be nearing its nadir.Shares in the diamond miner have lost more than half their value so far this year against the backdrop of falling prices for the precious stone.Analyst Marc Elliott upgraded the stock to buy with a 145p target price. The shares rose 3.2% to 90p on Friday.Despite weakness in diamond prices Petra remains a growth story and if management can deliver to guidance, we feel current levels represent an attractive entry point, he said.Petra Diamonds is developing its asset base on proven historical mines, so significant production growth is almost inevitable eventually. 2015 was expected to be the most challenging year technically, so hopefully we are at the nadir for newsflow. Re: Is in Suspension You might have to wait until the new year tbhDOR is in the process of acquiring a stake in GGO to adhere to its AIM status apparently so we have to just sit and wait.
Upped stake... I see todays RNS flags up M&G as having taken there stake to over 5%...Could be a shrewd move... for those prepared to be patient in todays volatile markets..We`ll see... reports /update should be out in the next couple of weeks, I reckon.... For now, the market is soft as regards prices. The mining is going through a transission phase ~I understand.
