RNS today re commercialisation ....of the new wellness tests:[link] Biosciences, Inc.Commercializes New App-Enabled Tests for Health and Wellness Industry and ConsumersAkers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), ("Akers Bio" or the "Company", a medical device company focused on reducing the cost of healthcare through faster, easier diagnostics, announces that all development specifications have been finalized and production has commenced for its two transformational breath tests designed for the health and wellness industry and consumers.Akers Bio is launching the BreathScan OxiChek™ ("OxiChek" and BreathScan KetoChek™ ("KetoChek" tests this week at the Supply Side West conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference focuses on dietary supplements and sports nutrition, two key markets for these new products.OxiChek is the first disposable breath test to rapidly determine levels of oxidative stress (free radicals) in the body. OxiChek measures the most abundant free radicals including superoxides, hydrogen peroxide and aldehydes - unlike some pre-existing devices which measure only one. Frequent use of OxiChek may help consumers and professional clients manage and adhere to their regimen of nutritional supplementation for management of oxidative stress, which is implicated in many diseases, including cardiac, cancer and arthritic diseases.KetoChek, and the Company's non-quantitative version, METRON®, are the only disposable breath-based diagnostic devices that rapidly determine if the subject is in the optimal fat-burning state for weight loss, known as ketosis. Achieving a state of ketosis - as indicated by the measure of breath ketones - is a goal of many individuals following low carbohydrate diets. KetoChek is a simple, non-invasive test to identify, track and quantitatively monitor breath ketones for individuals interested in maximizing weight loss....."The response to the Akers Wellness products has been overwhelmingly positive," said Raymond F. Akers, Jr. PhD, Co-founder and Executive Chairman. "We launched our first product, METRON®, into this market last month, including through the Amazon marketplace. Now, the Company is expanding its market reach through our efforts at Supply Side West, targeting multi-level marketing companies in the nutraceutical business, fitness and weight loss centers, chiropractors, and anti-aging medicine physicians. The Company is aggressively seeking distribution into these market segments," continued Dr. Akers. "We believe that consumers are increasingly looking for personalized health, and that the BreathScan platform will provide the footprint for the Company to enter into the new era of digital medicine. Our new health and wellness products are poised to make an impact now as we commence production and will begin shipping this quarter....."

Re: Optimistic for tomorrow Kudos Ignateus I, hats off to you. This is by far my best investment and glad I stuck with it through the dark days of the recession. One of the best businesses around, with a simple to understand model, honest and competent management. What not to like? Might treat myself to a hot sausage roll for lunch.

platinum miners in takeover platinum price is at the bottom at the moment, however, this price will not stay at the bottom for long.many are expecting the price will recover and hence there are several platinum junior minors sitting on huge assets and yet being cheaply valued. AQP is one example, where Sibanye sees this as a bargain and worth buying (and no burden of debt, unlike LMI).so, this should crush those punters who were falsely saying nobody will be interested to buy platinum miner due to low profitability as platinum price too low. in fact, several major players who are deep pocket will be acquiring smaller companies (like AQP, JLP) while they remain cheap.another to watch is JLP, where JLP has massive platinum assets worth around NPV $4bn and yet their mcap only 28m. perhaps all eyes are waiting for the mining licence before they put their offer.

Re: Optimistic for tomorrow I hate to say it - but I told you so.Better than I dared to hope.Canacord Genuity have returned to the 'buy side'.Euro Garages news is a treat.Third quarter effectively outstrips the first two in terms of a previous two years view - excellent news.Strong buy is for the long term as always.

Re: Undervalued I think they own just under 95m shares in PPG, the price of PPG has increased nicely over the last week or so from about 1p to 1.65p, although today back to 1.55p, valuing their investment at £1.5m.This investment alone values Paternoster at .22p per share, more than the current share price without taking any of their other investments into account. No idea why they are half the price they should be, maybe due to the volatile nature of investments they have built in some 'contingency' in the SP!?Who knows, worth holding though and hopefully a rise due soon.

Re: Do Yourselves A Favour Is this the bottom then? I sold Herencia (HER.L) at the bottom and that was 2p. I then sold the remainder at what must surely be the bottom at...oh..blimey..0.9..now its 0.09.As is often said, better to cut your losses and move on than see the lot disappear.Still entirely up to people what they want to do.

Re: Great Results I can only assume it's because they are not very good at cash collection. Cash is still up relative to last year so it looks good overall. In common with many smaller companies cash collection could well be an issue as they simply don't have the resources and clout to enforce payment terms as one would like to see. It's certainly something they should look at. I will ask finnCap for their view.

Re: Volex looking good Great buying opp. Can't help feeling that the people selling are just following others selling - i.e. a negative downward circle - with no specific reason other than 'others are selling so I will as well'The recent post just said sales were flat - BUT profit was expected to be in line with expectation AND transformation plan (i.e. getting costs and processes in order) was on schedule.Need a good new CEO & CFO; although the current stand-ins have ggod backgrounds/contacts.Its a good, medium sized co. with good product, a solid manufacturing base and market knowhow. All set for a good run of increased t/o (as per recent news) and better profit numbers.Even with a small bit of good news along these lines I can't help feel that the share price will have a 'jump'. The question is 'when is the bottom price going to be?' Is it now?
