Re: Takeover Desultory offer in my opinion and I am in profit due to a very fortuitous purchase last month when I thought I saw a double bottom to average down from 36p initial, plus rights. Faced a similar situation with ABG and China Gold and that time I took the profit before the deal collapsed. This time I am holding in the hope of a much better offer.I do not know what the board think they are doing with their unanimous backing for the deal instead of trying to extract maximum value, however only resistance from big shareholders who have forked out in the rights issue will make any difference.[link] Sibanye Gold Ltd., the largest miner of bullion in South Africa, faces resistance to its $294 million offer to buy Aquarius Platinum Ltd. after the target company’s biggest shareholder said it opposes the “opportunistic” dealInvestec Asset Management, which owns a 13.9 percent stake in Aquarius, won’t support the bid under current conditions, according to Hanre Rossouw, a money manager at the Johannesburg-based company. Aquarius’ management said it will recommend shareholders support the transaction, which needs a simple majority to pass. Some shareholders “have indicated their support for the transaction,” Sibanye said in a statement on Tuesday.Sibanye will offer $0.195, or 2.66 rand, a share for Aquarius, it said in the statement. Aquarius Platinum shares rose 37 percent to 2.32 rand by the close in Johannesburg, the highest price since Feb. 17.“They’ll get the assets for almost nothing, while the premium is paid from the synergies and cash that they’ll get from the deal,” Rossouw said by phone, referring to Aquarius’ net cash holdings of $72 million and 800 million rand ($58 million) of cost savings targeted by Sibanye.Aquarius’ main operating asset is the Kroondal venture with Anglo Platinum near Rustenburg, about 140 kilometers (87 miles) north-west of Johannesburg. That’s close to the assets that Sibanye agreed to buy from the world’s largest platinum producer for at least $331 million on Sept. 9. Aquarius also owns a stake in the Mimosa venture in Zimbabwe with Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. I can’t find any evidence of Investec’s 13.9% holding:[link] They do have a 3.25% holding in Sibanye[link] A rise in platinum would help while all this is playing out. GLA

In Here for a few hundred, very high risk, but Segal have a plan, im going with them to turn this round, GLA LTH oil rally would work wonders here as a sell of certain assets to clear the burden of debt.

Re: Spoken to Join Administration is there any chance I will get any money back but sad to say Administrators said very likely.---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ------Did they say very likely or unlikely, big difference. In the event it was unlikely, I am not sure how they can draw this conclusion at this moment in time, as I am sure our assets are worth 2B and debt was around 1.3B from memory, so unless the administrators are in it with Afren they cannot say what will get sold for what price yet, unless they have some mates rates lined up in Nigeria!3D

Re: Afren Shareholders meeting Wish I could make the meeting as would love to know when the SFO are going to start criminal proceedings against the management at Afren.Hopefully an astute shareholder will attend and get the low down of what's happening and even manage to become a Committee member? Thanks for the constant updates idlv, I know not many seem to tick your posts but I am sure everyone who was a shareholder here on iii reads and is very greatful of your efforts, I for sure am.I am shocked at how low key this has been kept and maybe its about time the press and maybe British government got involved........3D

The Diomedia complex being tested (humpback well) proves the entire (unrisked) Diomedia fan complex ! What my 44 years of research shows is does unrisk the entire eastward ancient lucastein " lake oil deposits " 120 miles east to and including the Hersil-- fan ancient pools of oil like "starfish." That 120 mile X 20 mile wide ancient "stacked lakes" f1,f2,f3 sand bearing oil may match the oil in the Gharwar anticline of Saudi Arabia, which had 160 billion barrels of oil! I know it is like a big deal, but my research has all the F1, F2, F3 oil producing ancient lakes at, now get this "The Same Level!" When someone said find 5 billion barrels of add on oil would be like "shooting fish in a barrel," they were correct. The proof you will find on independent.academia.edu, ref: John Delano , the origin of mountains. " make peace with Argentina, not in sovereignty over territory, but sharing the wealth with a pipeline to the Argentina refineries, it will be necessary, and my predictions will prove my 44 years of earth science research. God bless the men that go down to the sea.

What is wrong What has happened? I occasionally stroll around Mulberry in the hope of finding a "Keep the wife happy" present and the local store in North Oxfordshire recently has become as lifeless as a Dodo whereas previously it was the best store in Bicester. A company with good products and good management should always succeed, but I was left wondering by my experience.

weakness There has been a view that the lower oil price would lead to more use of cars and les use of buses and trains. However, the sp has been looking very weak for some time and there may be a bigger problem somewhere. Am under water on this share.
