Ex divy date next week
Hydro generators being switched off Local Tanzanian papers are today reporting that all hydro generation plants in Tanzania are being switched off because water levels are at historically low levels. There will continue to be blackouts until the gas generators are all fully operational, which is estimated to be Oct 20th.Clearly gas is now being sold by the Mnazi Bay partners, but it has taken longer to increase the pressure in the new pipeline than had been identified. The reliance on gas for electricity generation is only going to increase as time goes by.
Re: Hopes of Revival Good luck. I reckon this is just the MM's suckering people in. Wouldn't be surprised to see a placing soon.
Rat's leaving the sinking ship?
Re: dividends Got mine on 29th via X-O.Theoretically, I believe that Interactive have 10 working days to credit the dividend - which takes it to about Tuesday next week, but when I was with them they were TOTALLY useless......seems they still have issues.PE
Re: W T F?!?!?!? OG just loves all this. He is as happy as a pig in muck when a share is down and investors are losing. Yes he is correct that there have been more than enough Chinese scam companies on AIM but it is somewhat perverted to take such an obsessive interest in them when he has no holding. Having wished that I lost all my money; I'd say he is in fact a nasty piece of work.
Re: There is a piece... Agreed. He could get out with a good profit, but will hit the price hard for the rest of us. It won't affect the NAV, of course, and will present as buying opportunity for those able to take advantage of it.
Re: SP fall on today's Trading Update I think it was the negative tone on the US market that pushed XPP's share price back to its "base level" of about 1560p.I sold half my considerable XPP holding (some of which I bought quite a few years ago at about £1.50!) when the price peaked recently at 1725p. I am now wishing that I'd sold it all and bought half of it back today! As a long-term investor in XPP, the company seems a strong one with good prospects. Perhaps the full-year figures (due early next year) will prove its merits and take the SP higher. I may buy some more just before then if the price stays at about today's level.
