Re: Sold more like mugged........In it till the end £44 3D

SAB gamesinvestor 13 Oct 2015

Sold 3952 - There's no fool like an old fool as they say.I'll have the float and build up on DGE.The price for SAB is ridiculous and I don't want to be a holder just in case the deal flops - although it looks pretty good for those left in.I may have left a few £ on the table but as I only bought at 16:20 yesterday and sold at 8:10AM it was a very profitable nights sleep, I'll treat it at as a dream and imagine it never happened and wonder about the pile of cash that just landed at my feet.Games -- Onward and upward - It's goodnight from me and goodnight from him (Sab Miller)

Re: Short & Long Term views? I agree, and have it on my radar for a potential buy in the future - I'm guessing maybe 6-12 months time, but not right now. I want to see another set of results or two.

Re: delaid reaction its time we had the option of voting these posts with a RED flag especially those concerning spelling mistakes by others perhaps some have never made a mistake but they do show their own faults by poking fun at others.

Re: One word Agree 'deferred' is an evocative word, the upside is we will have a positive update very soon. Still firmly believe we will see double figures by Christmas.

Re: Agreement in principle Games,Well done, m8! If only my big bet on the BG/Shell deal going ahead had paid off as quickly as yours on SAB has done!Sounds a good idea to me to take your profit and recycle it into Diageo, but I'm talkin' my own book there, as a Diageo fan.LKH on the flybridge

how trustworthy is this payment link Rogen83? Strange that there is no mentioning of this on the MNR website or twitter account, they could surely help us out here!

Re: Agreement in principle "Small shareholders should make out like bandits"I'll probably take the profit today and invest the proceeds into topping up Diageo.seems to be settling around the 3950 level and 43.5 may not become a reality for a while, given that a formal offer is still not guaranteed, according to the blurb anyhow.Games - Who's got the luck of the Irish today!!

Re: Agreement in principle Games,"I think the deal is gonnae fall apart."Hmmm ... looks as if I got that one wrong LOL! Good luck with your purchase. As a shareholder in Diageo (20% beer) and Fuller Smith and Turner (98% beer and 2% cider) I sincerely hope that them Brazilian top boys have overreached themselves and will suffer from winner's curse. If I were a Santo Domingo (chance would be a fine thing) or any shareholder taking the partial share alternative I'd really worry that the five year lockup before I could sell my unlisted ABInBev shares would expose me to the full rigours of that winner's curse.Small shareholders should make out like bandits (unless the deal does fall through) given the remarkably big gap between the high cash price and the (relatively) low partial share alternative.Must examine how £44 a share compares with Diageo's share price.LKH on the flybridge
