Re: Philip Letts- video interview-again Letts is a self promoting, delusional fool. This video is another bad joke at the expense of investors.Quite incredible he still spends his time doing these meaningless TV spots when his company is in the toilet and halfway round the u-bend.He has no authority to talk about how to grow a tech company and continues to hide behind a very thin veneer of 'dot com chic' with his daft beard, silly glasses and black get up. The track record of beenz.com and blur tell you all you need to know as both are monumental failures.

Telegraph- Questor "Sell Rotork as oil slowdown bites: Industrial valve specialist Rotork saw its shares slide more than 4% as a brief recovery following the September profit warning ran out of steam. Questor still thinks the shares look exposed to further losses. The Bath-based engineering group manufactures high pressure valves that are mainly used in the oil and gas industry. The company generates about two thirds of its profit from valves used to control flow rates in the oil and gas refining process, with the remaining third of profit largely coming from valves on pipelines and small gears and instruments businesses. Meanwhile, the oil price slump has resulted in a slowdown in the total group order intake, down by 9.5% to £274 million in the first half. As work on projects outpaced replacement orders, the order book declined by 4.3% to £176 million. Questor was concerned that investors looked exposed to a slowdown when we advised selling at £28.13 (281p adjusted for share issue) in August last year. Rotork is a quality company that has invested in its technology and manufacturing capacity, but the shares have priced this in and more. Rotork at 186.4p -7.4p. Questor says “Sell.” "

What will drive this Higher? Can anyone give some insight on why th share price is hovering around th 3950 mark and not nearer the 4350-4400 that deal is supposedly set at?I know the deal isn't done yet but the deal has been announced in principle so is it a surprise that these are trading at 11% lower than the deal price? To my own niave brain isn't this an easy opportunity to make 10-11%?

Re: Bought in today I've also bought in today with a first tranche of 5,000 shares. The divi is very attractive and I hope to repeat my investment in CLIG which also had a 10% yield when I bought in but the SP has since risen over 50%. The fundamentals look good but I would assign this to the more risky end of my portfolio - designed to give a boost to the overall yield but acknowledging that it is less secure than other investments. Still, the cover at the moment is over 2.0 but I guess that this is due to abnormally good returns over the last 12 months. GLA Guitarsolo

Re: Obvious staregy Tejo,"Diageo is Ok but stodgy."I wouldn't say it was stodgy, m8! They've done a lot of M&A recently, and they're strong in a lot of soft areas, such as having probably the highest proportion of women in their higher ranks of any FTSE company. Dunno why, but that is meant to be a signal for outperformance ... perhaps the few men in the upper echelons spend all their time trying to impress the women with their outperformance I dunno. And I suspect that there is a LOT of fat to be cut from Diageo if anyone like Buffett or Munger is interested in taking a pop at the biggest and best boozeco on the planet, to add to his stodgy food portfolio.LKH on the flybridge
