Re: Long way to go Somw of us won't break even at 10p. I have long since written these off and put away. Agree, any increase is welcome but wonder what is driving this? Anything to do with the Concert Party arrangement?

Re: woodscrew That's why I have come out of AIM companies. So many use your money go bust and then pick-up the IPR for a song. Next you know a member of their family has formed a new company. Legal but Highway robbery as far as I'm concerned.Good luck for the future. ws.

about now oil india must realize that they have been sold a pup when they very expensively bought into this company , the first indication is the firing of the Russian drill rigs whose staff have been virtually running the oil operation during the winter period .. this action will lead to some serious bad feeling in the area towards the company . the board have since 2009 never achieved a budgeted oil flow rate and the recent news is just a continuation of their mismanagement .oil india must try and extricate themselves over the coming year and try to minimize their losses .

Avionics: Automotive and IoT aspects rightly take the immediate limelight with regards our world wide prospects but could avionics join them:"...CAP-XX has signed an R&D agreement with the Thales Research Centre. As part of the agreement Thales contracts CAP-XX to evaluate innovative technology developed by Thales and to examine CAP-XX's own technology according to the stringent requirements of the avionics market. This initial study is a first step towards the use of supercapacitors that target avionics applications...." An old RNS I know. Having a global interest in automotive, IoT and avionics - the market today values our company at circa £16m but what Easter 2016?N&S

Re: RNS - hmmm interesting I agree, although would add one opinion. With a debt due in mid-December it is perfectly normal and sensible to negotiate new terms of funding some months in advance. In fact as the date looms, the weaker the bargaining position is for the Directors, and the increased likelihood of a default/Oxus goes bust - a share price below 1p could be expected on 11 Dec! So for me, this debt to equity swap had to be done now, and absolutely does not indicate that a decision will be 2016.

ALNT I Wish I Knew The Answer 16 Oct 2015

Re: Alent buy out "I thought of doing the same, ie sell Alent and buy Platform, when the latter fell below $20. I am now not so sure: when a share nosedives by over 50% in just a few months you need to know why, and I have not been able to get to the bottom of it. It certainly seems to have fallen out of favour for some reason. I wonder if Cevian still have faith in the company."What's swung it for me is Cevian have committed their entire stake in Alent in return for Platform shares (assuming all other shareholders do not also apply in which case it will be pro-rata). I assume they have done a lot of due-diligence as they do in all the companies they invest in. Another major investor in PAH is Bill Ackman of Pershing Square who you can look up his track record on the net which is well up there. Most of all I look at the companies that PAH are acquiring and they are all cash rich high profit entities gained mostly though IP rights which they control. Most of the fall, I believe, has coincided with the stock market fall (as well as a downgrade due to a forecast profits fall) and the price is currently about $13 so I believe well worth a punt at these levels. I invested heavily in Alent due to Cevian's track record so I believe this is another opportunity I can benefit from.Anyone think we will get a final dividend as at the current price little to hold for now?As usual DYOR.

We have selected three of the recent risers of particular interest which are featured in our latest article, one of which is Serica Energy. Read the full article at [link]

Re: RNS - hmmm interesting I guess people could and are likely to read many things into the RNS. From my perspective I feel overwhelmingly that this tells us not to rely upon an imminent adjudication result. If OXS know the result (in draft form) then there would be a very strong whiff of insider trading. As such I don't see the result in a couple of weeks. In addition, if OXS was very confident that the result would be obtained by xmas, then again surely they would not be acting in the shareholders interest by diluting the stock now - and would face a revolt. turning to our backers - why agree to buy shares at more than double their face value? I guess the answer is it was not in their interest to see the shares go down the toilet which was a real possibility if judgement not obtained before money run out. hence my conclusion is that this is a fair deal which sadly demonstrates that the judgement could drag on - lets hope Santa brings us a present.....
