Re: Confusion There is no doubt that the Board must be supported. This is the only hope that the company has that it will be able to survive on a stable basis. If you read the RNS of 23/10/2015 it tells the whole story how the Board have been hi-jacked by Mr Benavides and his supporters. Please use your proxy vote to Vote Against all the resolutions at the EGM in order to support the Board and to have any chance of saving your investment.
Re: Great opportunity to buy for the bra... Well I bought a few! Of course I now wish I'd bought more but at least I didn't miss out altogether. Buying in tranches is the way to do it.
WRES about to move....
this will drift back down. typical. hopefully more action in WRES later this week
Re: RAB I spotted that - but didn't they sell a load a short while back ?Curiouser and curiouser !
zzzzzzzzzz
Re: Great opportunity to buy for the bra... Hmmm maybe buy a few more of these with whispers about a possible takeover in the offing noted by FT...good to see them upo by 20% sonce my purchase a few weeks ago and surprising they have not attracted more interest on this board.
Waiting for Friday It has been quite a while since any of the cheerleaders have posted one of their optimistic comments. I have forgotten what caused the last posts of hope and optimism - was it the recruitment of those new directors or was it the turnkey deal?It would be nice to know if they still see light at the end of the tunnel. It will soon be a year since dief said to wait "a little longer".dief never explained what we should wait for when she said "a little longer".Would she now care to explain?Questions for the AGM -What happened to the talks with the Chinese consortium? Why was there no mention in the report interims? Why were we kept in the dark? Was that the only inquiry from the Guangzhou exhibition? If it was, in what way was the trip to China "successful"?Why have the directors left?
Re: Confusion It's not at all clear who will this "battle" or what the outcome will be.My holding is too few to be an influence, and I can't say which group would be best to manage the company overall - although the current board does seem more willing to meet international obligations and stay with AIM, etc. but they clearly don't have a lot of support at the working level in Peru nor from some of the major shareholders who voted Hodges out recently - although it depends on who you believe and whether certain actions were justified.I will hope for the best; just glad my exposure here is relatively low right now...Guess we will learn more on or soon after the 26th November EGM.
Re: Jefferies maint 87p tgt I saw a figure of 82p as the take out price in the Asian edition of the FT at the weekend.More generally, I imagine there are change of control clauses in the licences that CWC operates under. Quite a nightmare for an acquirer and hence probably the muted reaction of the share price to this putative offer. Of course it could be structured as a reverse takeover somehow to get around this issue.
Re: NORTHGATE, Looks way oversold........ chart again.....[link]
MYI Things seem to be happening at Aberdeen Asset Management - not before time. Maybe we can get rid of the complacent and ineffective Board of MYI.
NORTHGATE, Looks way oversold........ NTG, Northgate PLCNTG, Northgate PLC, chart looks like a recovery is going on following recentish upbeat fundies. Looks way oversold.[link]
Re: at 36p analysis of partial redemption AgreedMy calc gets me to 48p conservatively - so good inv at present - happy holder FD
