The directors salaries and royalties are a scandal!

placing I had the placing brokers called first thing this morning to be told the £50m placing announced only yesterday afternoon had already closed ! So there was no chance for me, an existing holder, to acquire any shares at the discounted placing price. This is the London market at its worst : a large tranche of cheap stock parcelled out by the house brokers to their friends with other shareholders locked out and forcibly diluted. What a rip off !

SP down nearly 17% this morning I assume due to some slightly negative stuff in the AGM notice - "The timing of the sites being operational has been pushed out by a number of months in addition, and this, coupled with the dovetailing of the timing of planning permissions, capacity market applications and commencement of building has again meant a deferment in the timescale to the profitability of PPG." "In the Admission Document, it was stated that the Company would target 200MW of flexible power generation. This target is likely to be considerably exceeded, with over 500MW of capacity currently in the Company's project pipeline, together with the potential for 200MW of partnered solar/flexible generation sites. This accelerated business plan has meant that costs will increase for the next few years as the Company takes on more staff, and has to incur considerable expenses on progressing the materially increased pipeline of sites before these sites start generating profits. These extra costs will decrease the Company's ability to make profits in the short-term and again contribute to the difficulty Paul Lazarevic and Philip Stephens will have in achieving their Earnings Per Share targets, which trigger the Deferred Consideration."

Re: Interims I bought a few for my ISA this morning at 355p. I admit that the current outlook is not bright but, what interests me is, the fact that Rudd joined the board in April and he bought his stake ( about 90k worth in August at over £1 per share above current levels. (sp 362p)

Not for me Had a quick scan over last year numbers and projections. It sounds to me like they are heading for around £300m of profit and EPS around 20p. I'm a bit baffled by some of the numbers floating around, and keep wondering if I'm missing something.Net debt at the last year end looked to be around £1bn; on the high side.Unless they bounce back quickly, they could descend to the same P/E as Senior. In other words they could drift as low as £2.40. They feel overvalued to me today. I'm not buying.......

Mario Neves back as governor of Chubut - Huemules? He was governor in 2006 when activity at Huemules was shut down due to a moratorium on mining, but has been elected back in but not under a Kirchner (FPV) ticker, but his own party (CHUSOTO).Anhyone hazard a guess as to what effect this might have on the cahnces of reopening Huemules?[link]
