57,096 acreage and Jay Cheetham hits the fact pot on the first try. Congratulations ! This acreage has just increased in value. 3D gives you eyes, Jay gives you "how much, what quality, where to pipe it, truck it " give this man a raise. Ok 10 million options at .10 cents, should make him happy. The rig was initially being moved, but I read Black stone spudded Tyler County mid October! We may get ( 50%) change of getting a X- mass present. Each well nets before tax $70 million, we get half. I think that is conservative , because the geology should be the same , level 14,200 feet for every well....why? Because the well is sand, oil soaked that exist as an ancient shoreline of the inland ocean that covered North America. Our acreage is the 63 feet of sand that the ocean created from 120 - to 82 million years ago when the North American Ocean emptied. Our acreage is , was feed water , salt water from the south, downslope from the east west facing Ouchita Mountains. Our oil sands are at right angles to the top of those mountains. The chalk is a gypsum salt I think , I don't know, but I can tell you before the Ouchita mountains deeper down more oil exist , and the salt disapates the heat so the oil stays intact and does not turn to gas . The Smackover, is an old carbonate structure south facing and slopes like shingles on a roof. Below the Smackover on our acreage is the vast oil of the Norfit sands, but the real good oil, the 24,000 barrels per day to 100,000 barrels per day is obtained on our lease by drilling 20,000 -25,000 -35,000 (Tiber well) feet through the Halite salt , called " the mother of all salt" the Louann salt, pure table salt. Jay when the wallet gets fat, put in som 7,500 foot laterals in those 63 feet of oil sands, and maybe I will live to see you test the oil reservoir below the Louanne salt. Again congratulations . Re: RIT below 1500 What a run! Sold at 1633p today, and will inevitably buy back next time it drops below 1600p. Such a good mix of investment assets in here, and good brains too, it's a no brainer.

RBC Cap From ADVFN:"Weir got a boost after RBC Capital Markets upgraded its stance on the stock to 'sector perform' from 'underperform' and lifted the price target to 1,200p from 1,150p."We believe the risk/reward at Weir is now reasonably balanced, with the shares valued at close to 14x trough earnings," it said. The bank said concerns over price-downs in the minerals division may have been overdone and it expects to see the trading performance of the oil and gas business bottom soon."It remains difficult to forecast recovery, but when it comes, strong sales growth and high operational gearing will likely result in future earnings higher than our 2017 forecast of 98p."nk

Panmure From ADVFN:"Broker Panmure Gordon warned that FTSE 250-listed Vesuvius is likely to be hit by the same industry pressures as German rival SGL Carbon, which issued a profit warning on Tuesday.SGL Carbon warned that, despite its cost-cutting efforts, it expects group profit to decline significantly in 2016 due to renewed pressure on prices in the graphite electrode market."It appears that steel customers are starting to reduce and/or postpone their demand for graphite electrodes already for first quarter of 2016," Panmure said.Analysts expect Vesuvius to face similar pressures, particularly from its US and European customers, some of whom are having to close plants.Panmure believes the consensus EPS forecast of 30.6p and 31.2p for 2015 and 2016 remains "too high" and expects pressure on revenues and margins particularly in 2016."nk

investment case? I was thinking of getting back in here as it was a great investment back in the day, though I sold too soon as usualthey haven't been making a great return on equity in the last couple of years though, it seems to have been around the 2.5% mark after tax, so maybe a little pricey for that kind of returnthey seemed to do better before they expanded in 2013, still I am sure many holders did extremely well

Re: Thresholds and new cycles so they sneak their results out on a wet Wednesday evening showing a loss of portfolio ot 75% of value to a paltry £1.15mill. with their admin expenses...???( what admin expenses does it need to buy 8 stocks , sit on them and watche them go down the plug hole?) I have more in y pension pot invested and it tales me a laptop on the kitchen table.. so why they need to burn £250k of investors money is beyond me that a management fee of 25%.. good luck with that. Re: Trading Update I am amazed that such "good news" has resulted in a few thousand shares being traded and such an enormous increase in share price. Is someone playing games?

Re: tumbling share price wish I knew....there is no corporate news that I have seen and six analysts since June have target prices ranging from 1075 up to 1505p from the mighty Goldman Sachs! Digitallook show its forecast to be on a prospective PE of 8.5 and yield of 4.6% for 2016 - seems pretty good to me - maybe we should top up at these bargain basement prices.
