Exane BNP Paribas "Wood Group was under pressure after Exane BNP Paribas downgraded the stock to 'neutral' from 'outperform'.The bank said it has been a big fan of Wood Group for some time.It noted the shares have materially outperformed the European oil services peer group over the last two years, on good cost control performance and the lower risk aspects of the company's business model."From ADVFN.

Price today is brilliant for holders and buyers. At some point as assets get proved up the value will be established in the meantime - if you are lucky enough to have found this share then fill your boots...i sold a few this week to take a punt on NYO....so I think it is a race as to which motors first - but any raise in NYO will come back here if under 1.25

Investec From ADVFN:"The deeper-than-expected global slowdown forced analysts at Investec to revisit their forecasts for Morgan Advanced Materials, but they reiterated their underlying upbeat view on the company's prospects.Despite the advanced materials manufacturer's considerable diversification, both geographically and by end-market sectors, weakening confidence in North America - a major trading region - was affecting a broad range of its markets, analyst Michael Blogg said in a research note sent to clients.Notwithstanding that de-stocking might lie behind the weakness in markets such as consumables for the rail industry or auto components, "further adjustments are needed," he said.Blogg said he expected consensus estimates for operating earnings on an EBITA basis to be lowered by between 5-10% as a result of the firm's cost reduction measures. The analyst placed his target 'under review' but stuck by his recommendation to 'buy'."nk

Re: Bullish Div lower lows aheadmarket has enjoyed quite a decent rally since the sell-offs from late August/early September. now we can expect some pull backs..... especially with upcoming rate hike chatter. unfortunately miners have been pummelled throughout. can't see the bottom here. in any case this will make the likes of Petra, GEMD, etc even more attractive. good to start accumulating. i'll only buy 15% of intended position now, and increase weights as/if we go lower. my opinion of courseGLB

DFS Eadwig 13 Nov 2015

3.4% UP against the tide Anyone know why DFS performed so well yesterday, in the face of a FTSE 100 1.88% drop and virtually all sectors down across the board?Something definitely going on, but I can't find any RNS or comments to indicate what it might be.

The long delay. If this case had gone against Oxus there would be no reason to delay publication of the outcome. It does not seem unreasonable to assume that the delay is due to discussions as to the level of compensation. Hopefully the end is imminent and there will,be something in this for the long suffering shareholders. Keep the faith!!

CLA minorities action group HiAs a shareholder in CLA , which AVAP now holds 99% of , I am proposing to put an activist action group together.CLA is attempting to throw its minorities under the bus, the shares have been trading at 25p, AVAP rather than offering a premium at say 30p to its minority shareholders for the final 2% are trying to force you to accept a discount and sell at 20.5p .The CLA shareholders should highlight that the management of CLA are not acting in the interests of its minority shareholders and the shareholders of AVAP should be aware that they may too be thrown under the bus at some pointI think the first plan of attack should be to attend AVAP investor presentations and voiciferously put forward the fact that their minority rights are being trampled on , they represent such a small part of the capital base of AVAP that I don't understand why AVAP cannot do the right thing and ask for shares to be tendered at 30p .
