Thoughts? Anyone have any up to date thoughts on this in light of the political football that seems to be going on WRT subsidies for renewables & keeping energy costs down for hard working familieeeees?I'd like to dip a toe in the water with renewables but political sentiment makes me nervous. Thoughts welcome.

Re: Something strange with SP Looks like same story again today few small sells knock price down thro floor then massive purchases later in day and leave sp where it is and sp will hardly move IMHO. Hope these get investigated as basic rules of supply and demand don't seem to apply here and price is being manipulated IMHO which I believe is illegal, but when has that every stopped stuff happening that shouldn't.Perhaps Bod need to investigate sp movements to ensure price not being manipulated IMHOSeagull

Re: Chairman's AGM update Doesn't look like they are holding much back. With high visibility of secured long term sales allied to fixed costs it should lead to a re-rating when the next results are in. Been averaging down.

Good trading update Good trading update - I'm staying in here for the long term. SP currently at 1020 - where will it end the day?Post Paris, Beirut, Egypt etc., it looks like governments are going to be spending more on improving airport security. Also I expect Schengen is dead in the water and that Europe will be re-introducing border controls and many countries will be increasing their security at borders and ports. All points to more future orders for Smiths Detection, one of the leaders in this technology. I recommend having a look at their corporate website - one of the best in my opinion.

What is happening The share price is drifting down but without any news to explain it. Is this just due to indifference and apathy? If so the company needs to provide some feedback to keep investors committed.

ARS ....................Seems to be an e missing'I believe there is clear potential to further improve our operational performance across the business'Well what do you think you are being paid for !It's not the talented people you need to consider, it's all the dead wood that has been allowed to fester over the past 20 years.Don't you think it says something about the Company when the highlight of the trading update is Pension related.Come on ARS lets do something dynamic.

Re: The long delay. Whilst it has been a long wait, there will be an outcome and, in my view, the delay must be positive as we would know by now if the companies claim had failed. There is much to be considered in respect of the level of compensation which should take account of costs of the action by Oxus and the true value of this company. Both sides will be fighting their corner but in the end the Uzbeks have acted illegally and there can be little justification for any leniency in the judgement against them. I believe that Oxus have had some indication as to a date for the final outcome and their statement will be justified by news before Christmas. No one seems to wish to sell at present levels and having waited so long it would be foolish to give up now.
