Les Berksley, Think there is more chance of Blair as next PM than Corbyn. Too many words . A politician ,no doubt? The same status as estate agents!! 30 years out of date.

ACP mog 17 Nov 2015

Nothing has changed!!

I am a PI , invested , in a company of a dubious record. Read Ben Turney, Share Prophets . Both 12/03/14, and more to date 15 /08/15.

What concerns me, and so should all. is CEO justin lewis stating they are contracting A-MCS, .it appears they have not. Check A-MCS ongoing contracts, last time checked , no mention of ACP, in dem congo..

Re: Results The performance bonus is as per 2002 agreement with above parties when Creightons acquired Potter & Moore;the latter now constitutes the entire business of Creightons. At this time Creightons was largely a shell company its own cosmetics business had to all intents & purposes failed and it was near insolvent. The company is now in good financial shape with net cash and has a substantial manufacturing facility. It is in a competitive field;but the fact that it sold two brand names for nearly £1.5m profit shows that there is probably some value beyond book value, which itself is well above share price. As far as I am aware the continuing cost of a Main Market listing is not greatly more than an AIM one once listed, and Creightons listing pre dates AIM;the main saving of the latter is that it is easier/cheaper to raise capital from share issues and in takeovers. However this is not a course that Creightons has pursued. In due course I expect a takeover for Creightons.

Re: Dividend i've reminded myself of the timeline for announcement of payment which is in the "near future" as from 16th October. When that is who knows but I would think before year end is reasonable.

Re: Oversold Hi Doggedly. FWIW i think they are worth a little more still. Hope i dont put a kiss of death on it. stick my neck out and say 17 euro whats that in real money about £12. Like I said double whammy with exchange rate. yes im still holding but a as I said am always twitchy with airliners due to the nature of terrorism and safety record. It only takes one at fault incident and the wings fall off. Still I will be flying out with them Sunday so hopefully I will still be impressed.GLAAli

Re: Takeover offer at 72p If they paid a higher price than their offer price for any shares they would have to raise their price to that level for all shares. However I would point out that bidders do not normally buy in the market, even if the market price is below the offer price, they wait until they get formal acceptance from shareholders of enough shares to complete their takeover(usually 90% assuming they owned no shares prior to the offer as on reaching this level of acceptances the offer becomes mandatory ).The reason being if an offer fails to gain the required acceptance level the bidder does not wish to be left holding a minority of shares and/or being unable to complete their offer. If he fails to get enough acceptances, the bidder may raise his offer or walk away.It looks if a third party is speculating that a higher will be made. However they may not be correct and will have to accept the offer price. On the face of it,compared with indicated NAV the offer seems reasonable but the offerer must feel I assume that the portfolio has value beyond the present managers indicated NAV.
