Re: The long delay. Bbanker, you're probably a nice bloke, but....the sigh I'm emitting is heavy, and my eyes are rolling uncontrollably !Ican see it's pointless giving many reasons....BUT ! There are 2 sides, each has a case, each has a valuation,. There is no absolute truth, only truth as is seen by the law.The law is imperfect. Humans are involved. From past cases there is usually compromise. The Arbitrators usually go somewhere between the polarised valuations (if we win). In some cases it has been explicitly stated that the Arbitrators simply pulled out a figure between the extremes of each side's valuations. This is just how it is. Don't waste your time thinking about it further - because this is how it is !Good luck mate - don't spend all the Xmas gift money ;o)

Re: Five AIM Shares To Fight Cyber War The chart has signs of wanting to bounce from the 12p low reached recently as there is a support level by now

Thoughts on recent contract wins Always positive to hear about wins...but only £300k relates to new business. What I don't know is how much of the £5m+ revenue they need to beat last year is recurring revenue but I imagine we're going to need 6 or 7 of that size contract to make a difference?

Five AIM Shares To Fight Cyber War Thursday 19 November 2015[link] (TERN) has a number of technology sector investments, but the core one is Cryptosoft, which has an encryption product that uses the Java standard and can work with any hardware and systems. The Cryptosoft platform uses installed technology - the sender of the data and the receiver can be using different technology. The data itself is secured, rather than the hardware that transmits it, so it remains secure at every stage. The focus is the Internet of Things and machine-to-machine devices. The Tern share price has been particularly volatile and Hargreave Hale (HHV) took advantage of a sharp rise in order to reduce its stake during the summer.

Re: The long delay. Perhaps I am being naive but if Oxus wins its case I cannot understand how it cannot be awarded full recompense for its losses. Justice demands that there be no compromise in the amount of the settlement or the Uzbeks will have mounted a successful operation which has achieved an outcome that has made its illegal confiscation worthwhile. I know the Law is very unreliable but surely some sort of middle way cannot be justified.

What did the article say??

Telegraph- Questor "Sell Poundland as profits tumble: Poundland [LONLND] shocked investors with a dismal set of first-half results that showed pretax profits sharply lower, sending the shares tumbling 20% yesterday and with little reassurance for the crucial Christmas trading period, Questor is calling time on some awful buy advice. Expansion, however, has a nasty habit of destroying value if it is pursued at the expense of profits. That is the problem with Poundland. The sales increased by 6.2% to £561 million during the six months ended September 27, but pretax profits collapsed by 44% to £5.3 million. The real concern was that like-for-like sales were down 2.8% across the first half, and trading was “highly volatile” during the third quarter, not good heading into the crucial Christmas period. Questor would question the logic of such a large expansion plan funded by a £50 million equity raising when profitability is falling so fast and there is little certainty in the future. The living wage will also add about £4 million to costs by 2017. Market consensus is for about £49 million in full year adjusted pretax profits, giving 15p in earnings per share, and leaving the shares trading on a PE ratio of 16 times. Poundland at 222.7p -55.9p. Questor says “Sell”."

Rumours From Times:"Predators plot £1 billion takeover bids for troubled Argos Owner: Private Equity firms are considering £1 billion takeover bids for the Owner of Argos and Homebase. Several retail industry figures have been asked to advise on approaches for Home Retail Group (HRG). Buyout houses are understood to be circling following a slump in the company’s share price and an unusual pre-Christmas profit warning, which it blamed on uncertainty surrounding Black Friday promotions."

Re: Ambitious It would seem that there is no end to the ambition of Scotgold and that we are starting to see what Nat le Roux meant when he said "As a Scot I am pleased to be involved in this material step to the development of a significant Scottish gold mining industry." back on the 25th Feb 2014 when he took his first stake of 7.82% for 37,333,333 shares which he has now increased to 502,220,806 for 39.9% of the company. We have heard Richard Grey speak of Cononish 2,3 & 4 and of the not unreasonable expectation of the LOM extension of Cononish and of similar Cononish style deosits over our extensive Licence area in Scotland and now we are casting our net further afield with 3 Licence applications in France and 1 in Portugal .We are also involved with the European Commission and their quest to become mineral self sufficient which is a major achievement and another sting to our bow . For a long period of time the National Park was a thorn in our side but having jumped through hoops and ticked every box from every environmental group known to man we are now seeing what was once the problem now being the solution , Our Blue Print to go anywhere is being rolled out ! Our achievement in obtaining Planning Permission in the National Park will open doors just as our involvement with the European Commission will raise some eyebrows ! [link]
