Re: The Deal (if it happens) Good article XG. As it suggests, if there is no green light by Q1 next yr, then it's going to rattle a lot of people. Something would obviously be causing problems with the US regulators. Also agree that the BOD of PACE have been very poor communicators to their shareholders for some time, and especially since this deal emerged. Self interests playing a part !Where as a full merger will be beneficial to ARRIS, there maybe caveats which they can't swallow - ie selling off some prised assets. I still think it's good to hold onto PACE and also the NEW-ARRIS shares as I think the market will like the combined synergy that the new company will create ! Whether it's going to happen is another question and maybe we should think about other possible scenarios !!!! R.

Update News flow Update on where we are at.....Armadale Capital (ACP) has updated on progress at its primary project Mpokoto, “which remains on track to commence production in H1 2016”This is with results from additional metallurgical testwork – which the company reckons “will favourably impact the projected economics of the project” – expected shortly and these to support finalisation of a definitive feasibility study targeted by the year end. There is also positive exploration news – with an extensive soil sampling programme having identified a number of new gold anomalies and a proposed strategic alliance with local drilling company Alpha Drilling, which would see the company “having permanent access to two drill rigs at very competitive rates, which importantly can be operated throughout the wet season”.On recommending the shares at a 3.75p offer price in September we noted that we particularly expected positive financing news to drive a major re-rating – and the company now updates on “continued constructive engagement… to conclude the financing agreement… We look forward to updating shareholders on these milestones in the coming weeks and months ahead”.Ahead of these updates and with the shares at a current circa 5p, we would hang on. Get good news on that front and these shares will zoom ahead.

Re: Dead board, or dead bored? Soi,I bought into this heavily at 289 all the way up to 310 with about 7 entries.Despite my previous misgivings about the company, I dug in and read a lot about it, considered the markets that it was exposed to and despite the currency risks decided the price point was so low it was worth a punt. It's return on investment does not match ULVR and PG but it's still healthy and the company has long history and seems to expand in a sensible manner. It doesn't have the global reach of it's peers, but then again it can be argued it's not spread too thinly either. It's been climbing nicely and I think it has some way to go. At some point I'll reduce the holding but keep some for the long term. I also have Unilever and added some Procter and Gamble when the share price dipped earlier this year.Games

Re: The Deal (if it happens) Good article xgxg, but it makes uncomfortable reading for us shareholders. It certainly rings true to my ears, and I have expressed many times now on this board, my outrage at the BODs indifference to us, the owners of poor old Pace and the resulting underperformance of its shares. I am almost certain that the former CFO shared that outrage. I shall desist from future buy/hold/sell flags, because I no longer have any trust in the management's integrity.

Re: Looks like Henderson has sold out...... Mmm I see what you are getting at. How does the voting rights increase through 20% when the shares now held has no value entered? Or is this a typo?

PIC xgxg 27 Nov 2015

The Deal (if it happens) This article now explains the possible unravelling of the Arris/Pace deal very clearly. It also gives a good insight into what Pace are into these days.[link] it does now come unstuck due to the US regulators I think the Pace BoD will have done no one any favours at all due to their lack of motivation for the last 6 months.Just take a look at the pitiful Pace website to see the cobwebs![link] news update May 2015I am concerned what will happen to the SP if the bad news that the deal has truly stalled is announced.Pace were doing well before this deal was announced and on track to be well above their current SP by now and there would have been another dividend............This page makes good reading if you enjoy reading the figures[link] the chart - Look where the SP was in March 2015 and earlier. The deal announcement has not helped us at all!!!!

Re: Looks like Henderson has sold out.... How do you work that out. The rns clearly says the Henderson holding has risen to above 20% even after the closure of the cfd..
