Value of Snorkel Can anyone explain to me why if the value of the holding in snorkel is worth 26p per share and the value of Tanfield shares are 15.68 the share price has gone down. All the indications are for growth and the shares in Smiths must be worth something.

How is that different from JQW?#################################################The difference here is that it is being inferred that it was a deliberate scam from Day 1 (see TX2's post), the cash doesn't exist (or will 'disappear') and therefore there will be no return for shareholders.I stayed invested in this company because I believed the cash was audited correctly and in the bank. I suppose that time will tell and I hope that I'm pleasantly surprised.

Re: Future With all due respect, AIM is fine for trading with - It's not being to accept different perspectives and being emotionally invested into a particular share is what's to blame. Much like betting your Home football team that is sat in the regulation zone. It's a mistake every investor has made, experienced or not. I've been hit by a scandal; not that we private inventors will ever know any of the details until it actually comes to light.If Debenhams had closed their shops for a week throughout the country, would you keep invested? How is that different from JQW?

Re: Future If they take it private and the cash doesn't mysteriously disappear.......then the liquidity is the issue, unless they make an offer to existing shareholders.So a lot will depend on whether there actually is any cash.Luckily, I don't have too much invested here, but if it all goes belly up, a loss is still a loss and is yet another reminder (if one is needed) of the perils of 'investing' in AIM....

Re: sp fall Just bought, can see a support it may have just bounced off at 80.Very seasonal business but outlook seems good for this year and market had all yesterday to decide if Interims were bad. This downward lurch is just a "flush out" before uptrend resumption with any luck.

Funding No reason other than new placement of shares. It seems they may not have enough working capital? This has been 2 years to get back up and running since the unfortunate fire. That's along time. On the plus side the US operation is much better. But perhaps the UK operation is having problems. The company has lots of debt and convertible instruments dud to Mr Black. He may as well buy it and take it private? Any way not getting back in again as a shareholder at the moment.

Good news to get 60p by end Jan This was a good spot by ST at 51p, and able to buy in market at 48.5p a few days after that.even more surprising was being able to buy at 5p after second RNS more or less confirmed bid.As well as the decent returns here it confirms to me nervous state of market. This can be seen in other realisation situations where discount much larger than risks of default or time value of money e.g...LXB 90p vs 120pPSPI 41P vs 56pBPM 150 vs 25pLEAF 36P vs 60pGKO and LMS have both yielded very attractive retruns on near zero risks .All IMHO, DYOR and BoLBPM, GKO, LEAF, LMS, LXB, PSPI and WIND all in my portfolio
