Brexit Wars 3 Owen Jones has made the same point in an article in The Guardian. I suspect that QT is simply attempting to keep up its ratings by picking nutjobs to ask questions. A competent panel should be capable of slapping them down. The woman ended up looking a proper berk. There is a democratic difficulty in that just because we don’t like some views should we censor them. Of course we have to protect those who would be seriously offended and the BBC like all media outlets has a duty to ensure that the comments they broadcast do not offend against the Equalities Act. The ‘heavies’ will soon have a new group to intimidate and hassle (those over 75) many who are vulnerable and their radio / television is their only contact with the outside world.
