Brexit Wars 3 Hi Pete, Is this guy Botty an example of what passes for a Brexiter intellectual? Cheers, Frog
Brexit Wars 3 petethenovice: gullible public muppets who will believe anything on a headline. … and those that hang on every word in the Guardian??? … as for the BBC maybe they should try and find some people with a little more moderate attitude to ask the question, instead of the extreme idiots they are currently choosing. The idea being that the audience might enjoy reasoned debate instead of the sensationalist journalism they are encouraging … being a publicly funded institution? The BBC has turned into your typical “old boys club†full of nepotism and cronyism For example … Richard, David and Jonathan Dimbleby !! Talk about keeping it in the family All very well paid and no doubt petethenovice: Who would believe we needed to LEAVE the EU to have Blue passports… Not Just blue Pete, blue without the words “European unionâ€

LLOYDS is going to FLY trader_jack: When I look at other IT’s SMT started in 1909,BNKR in 1888 & ATST & MRCH in 1889. Hi Again @trader_jack, Personally I dont think that having been around that length of time makes them any more “reputableâ€. None of the same staff will be around now and the investment approach surely needs to be different in todays world ?. Anyway - each to their own !. You dont have to login at the LSE to do what I did. Just go on the site with the link I posted. You only need an account if you are going to download any of their data or use any of their other services, not just for checking stock prices and volumes as in this case. If you update to Office 365 that will cost you ~£80 a year as its subscription based now (I get it for £25 a year as I have close relative who works for Microsoft). But if you DO do that I can give you more help on automating your pricing as we will both then be using the same version. If thats of any interest to you… Any spreadsheets that I give you will likely NOT work in Office 2007. ATB Pref
LLOYDS is going to FLY Did that a few times. No change. Those controls that you have arent appearing on my pages. Is it working for you today and if so what platfirm/browser are you using ?. ATB Pref
Twittering Ripley, I think there have been a few IIs investing here so they must see something worth investing in. The Board has a few new faces who appear to have strengthened it with a better commercial focus. Now lets see lots of sales!
LLOYDS is going to FLY PrefInvestor1: Anyway hmmmmm Click on ‘Performance’ and see if the the ‘Compare’ boxes appear… If not… then go back to ‘Charts’ and see if they now appear.
LLOYDS is going to FLY PrefInvestor1: Hi @trader_jack, Hope you are well. If STS has been going since 2005 (~15 years) then its hardly a newbie !. As for there being days when it isnt traded, I dont know where you are getting your trade information from but if you look on the LSE Interactive Chart page for STS as per this link:- Good morning to you Prefinvestor, Well, I must admit I was doing probably the most simplistic / simple option, looking at the STS price chart on HL and just moving the days along around the various dividend payment dates. I should have tried harder, looked around for other sites. When I look at other IT’s SMT started in 1909,BNKR in 1888 & ATST & MRCH in 1889. I think that the newest trust that I hold in VIN which started life in 1981. So STS is a mere baby at present with only 15 years or so of information and results to fall back on. I like to think that I am extremely cautious and basically look at IT’s that have a reasonable longevity to fall back on. I am still busy looking at STS and updating my various spreadsheets to take it into account. The next financial year is the earliest I would expect to purchase any new holding. I have not looked at AJ Bell but will do so in the coming days and I used to have a log in with the LSE but kept losing / forgetting my password so I just gave the site up in the end. Might give it another go though. You know that my computer skills would be regarded as way below those of an average 100 year old let alone getting anywhere close to that of the average 5 year old! There is so much that I just cannot get to grips with, understand ore even find on a google search. I have still not found a way of getting prices etc on the internet to transfer onto my spreadsheets automatically even with all the help you offered a couple of years ago, but I am now seriously thinking about buying the latest Excel / MS Office programme as mine is now officially “retired†and will no longer have Microsoft support. Hopefully that might help if manage to understand it. Hope the rain and wind stop soon for us all. Good luck with your new bout of decorating. Best regards TJ
LLOYDS is going to FLY Hi Again @J_Westlock, Well it might do if I got that screen content but I dont appear to be getting the same pages (are you logged in or something). This is what I get when I enter STS, Search, select the IT from the list and then select Chart image.png1323x897 70.6 KB image.png1316x619 84.3 KB I have posted the whole screen in two parts (as its more than one screenful). Theres some corporate blurb right at the bottom of the screen but nothing of interest there that I can see. Note the absence of the Compare button on what I get ?. Theres also what looks like an “in progress†indicator whirring away in front of the chart all the time - and none of the controls on the page seem to work eg timescale selection. Maybe I should try another browser. Actually thinking about it I just did as I tried it on the iPad and it was the same…? Anyway hmmmmm ATB Pref
Brexit Wars 3 john.a.reeves: anyone with half a brain can see its incitement and lies. That’s it!! - why you alone can ‘see’ it clever Difference being You actually believed that stuff and can not name a single sensible reason for the UK Leaving…
Brexit Wars 3 fynne: All privately owned media paint their own chosen image whether that is the Express or Guardian. Most UK privately owned media is in the Hands of Rich Tory /Brexit backers who pay tax offshore… and the EXPRESS MAIL SUN etc are extreme and they have gullible public muppets who will believe anything on a headline. Who would believe we needed to LEAVE the EU to have Blue passports…
LLOYDS is going to FLY See if this helps (the ringed bit). I do find these screens more fiddly than I think they need to be in both H: and AJ Bell. They seem to have done all the hard work behind the scenes but the user interface could defo be improved. image.png1269x740 44.3 KB
LLOYDS is going to FLY J_Westlock: at top right of screen, use the search ‘magnifying glass’ and enter code of first stock/fund select ‘Chart’ from left side vertical bar… and you get their total return chart ensure in chart setting/plot type is set to ‘Growth’ (not ‘Price’) select ‘Compare’ and enter code of stock/fund you want to compare first to (…and repeat for several codes as you wish) Hi Again @J_Westlock, Well I tried to follow your instructions but without much success Im afraid. First two steps were OK, I entered STS and search and selected Chart from the menu on the left of the screen - that was all fine. But having got there I couldnt find any chart settings to set, couldnt do a comparison - no button ?, change the timescale of the chart or anything - I must be missing something. Not quite sure what ATM though. Or maybe its sunday and their site isnt working. Dunno TBH. Thanks for the link anyway. ATB Pref
