The reason why is got to 60p is because hedge fund shorters were selling into it, and no one was buying because there was no positive news coming out of the company. That changed on Thursday last week. Shorters are starting to close out, just a little for now, but maybe more later.
Kier went up 30% because the RNS revealed that debt was reducing, not spiralling out of control. Also, the news about the sale of the housebuilding division (Kier Living) will bring debt down to a very manageable level and it sounds as though the sale has been largely agreed. I'll be more confident when the deal is done. Also, revenue is good; £4.2bn previous yr, only slightly less this last yr at £4.1bn. Also new FD to replace Bev Dew who messed things up a little when he misreported debt earlier this year - lost the trust of investors.

Kind of makes the previous head guy's claim that the Hsg guy,s wouldnt have had the experience to run the company if they had got control at the Agm they scuppered by putting it into admin before they (Hsg) could have it ,now rings a bit hollow, HSG did say at the time that the rebrand would have a detrimental impact on sales, Would they have had the experience to sell of the Spanish buisness bought for £2.3b for £30m also latin American buisness for undisclosed figure .Would they have had the experience to evaporate over £1b in turnover in just over 5 years with downward salestrend continuing .What of tbe Hsg guy's why no progress reports from you ? Over the years that this has gone on ?
If u guy's still out there ,why have,nt u posted anything ,in relation to another dismal set of results just put out by Hibu, turnover down another £100m for the last year alone ,&if this quarter results continue in same trend then this year looks to be in for anothet 10% drop in turnover

Email today from Ricardo refers to their web page which states: "The Stage Two application deadline was Monday 10 December 2018, 1200 hours. Following a detailed evaluation process four projects have been shortlisted to proceed to Stage Two. All shortlisted applicants will now undergo further due diligence prior to final grant award in Summer 2019. " This was apparently posted in May and verified by them today.
