From DAVY (with the caveat that they are a broker to TLW): Our updated valuation for Tullow Oil is 255p per share (previously 337p). This adjusts for an underwritten $750m rights issue, the Uganda farm-down and guidance provided at the time of the FY2016 results. Management argues that the rights issue should give the group room to grow. We believe Tullow will need to demonstrate good capital allocation over the next cycle for the share price to outperform. The funds from the rights issue provide an opportunity to achieve this.
Afternoon Breezy, no broken bones I'm pleased to report. Just my pride that hurts after a few tumbles at the end of the day - tired legs and gloopy snow on the last run home of the day isn't a good combo. I agree that the share price is poor considering the recent news flow. Would have expected much more on the license news alone but it was not to be. I'm quite happy to sit tight this year and see what happens when the financials are released. 9 days in Spain will be perfect this time of year, have a good trip. I've got 3k on the sideilnes to top up my ISA before the year end. Might dip my toe back in the AFC waters if they drop back nearer 11p - I still think they maybe a reasonable punt. All the best idg69
Hi idg69 hope you had a good holiday and have come back with no broken bones. Yes good and bad news no one likes dilution but at least the money is going to help increase earnings in the medium term. After all the news we have had the share price is very disappointing. This will come good i have no doubt about that.Iam off to Spain for 9 days on Saturday so will have a rest from looking at jlp.
Back from the mountains to find both good and bad news with JLP - delighted with the new tailings projects which can only be a good medium term strategy but yet more dilution which the markets clearly don't like. There needs to come a time when they finally draw the line at issuing new shares like confetti and have a share split/consolidation taking the number of shares down under the 250m and out of the penny share category.
the money is being used to ease debt burden ..Simple as that
Is the SP being manipulated to keep it high to let iiis sell or manipulated low to let iiis buy?
the recent uproar from councillors and full-time protesters has caught the headlines a bit recently but nice to see ANGS Board and SP pushing back. Personally confident ANGS has done appropriate due diligence and followed all regulations. Defies logic that permission has been granted by 3 national institutions but 1 regional institution was left out of the loop. For hard facts about ANGS, have a read of this article. While it doesn't cover "Drill-Gate", it does give an idea of how ANGS thinks and operates:: [link]

Share price guess. All things considered I can't see the QFI price going above 10p until mid 2018. If the next testing session isn't due to start until Q$ by the time that has run and the follow up analysis done it will be fifteen to eighteen months if we are lucky. A lot could have changed in the meantime. GLA.
