Re hobson : Your nagging doubt has been shared by the share pundits for a long time. All saw it as speculative at best. On the other hand I couldn't see it not working, everything seemed to stack up. The only place I can recall it being quoted as a buy was in the Mail on Sunday Midas section several years ago. "All that glitters isn't gold" as they say.

I can't for a minute believe we would pay cash for LOPG. Surely we would at best offer a 1:15 share swap.

Off to sunny Spain tomorrow for 12 days so i am going to forget about JLP until i get back.It would be nice to see the share price back above 5p on my return.

Hi Jaja, I think you're right. Leon won't have that sort of cash to splash around like Colin. Leon should have more shares than he has though, particularly as he has sacrificed salary. I wonder if Leons shares are attributed to JBL on the South African stock market as opposed to JLP on the UK AIM market? I hadn't considered that before.

as far as i know, Leon is not as rich as Colin and this is Leon main job and he didnt even get salary (they got in shares). so i doubt Leon will buy as he got no money himself

£48k's worth too. That's a big buy from Colin. You don't spend that sort of money if the future doesn't look rosy and he should know the inside picture better than anyone. Leon should follow suit now and put his hand in his pocket, though I suspect he will have options in lieu of salary. I keep saying it, but it would be nice to see a big institutional investor start building a holding here, that would really male the markets sit up and take notice. Come on JLP put out some solid financials now to demonstrate real progress and not just tonnage throughput, that doesn't mean anything - profit is what we need to see.

Affect is a verb meaning to influence something and effect is the something that was influenced. For example, I bought huge amounts of a share in order to effect the share price, and unsurprisingly, it did affect the share price. Pedantry is my middle name. Well, not literally
