India is the future boom nation apparently, the question is can it industrialise / modernise quickly enough and with enough ambition.
there is also a worrying statement associated with reporting of Chinese economic data in the news - "if the official figures are to believed" Situation could be much worse
agreed Sand the slowing of China isnt helping
when I watched the news a few weeks back about the US putting up interest rates by 0.25% and it was such a big story and this 0.25% was so hugely significant.... I realised despite what they say on the news the world economy is far from healthy. Central banks should able to change interest rates up or down by certain amounts without even a blink of an eye. I still think there is many years of flat lining to come.
yep, I don't think there is any stand out sectors at the moment
ive made too many bad choices on oilies and miners
Commodities and mining also in a rut
Oil & gas could be a long time in the recovery... might not even of hit the bottom yet
but where to invest?
Banks are still on their backside, press have been speculating a resurgence in banks shares for years and it just hasn't happened. I expect its since better regulation, no more voodoo or magic to bolster the balance sheet!
under 60p again - surely a buy. I wouldnt noramlly go for a FTSE100 share, but this seems a bargain and the fact that the GOV are giving away extra shares. I need to find a safe share once WRN comes good.
Why so keen?
Not sure ST!
